Default Good Alternative To "High Level" Tracker

Tracker levels are the bane of the BitTorrent community; experienced users hate the fact that collectors and traders use them, while newbies fail to understand that they should not request a level 10 tracker, because the levels “say it’s the best”.
What most experienced users will know, is that there are lower-level alternatives, which offer similar – if not the same – content. Often, these lower-level trackers actually offer more content than their sought-after cousins.

Here are some good alternatives to higher-level trackers:

    If you want…. F*C/FTN
    Try… TorrentLeech or IPTorrents
TL is one of the most popular general trackers around, and has fantastic levels of activity, and is very easy to keep a good ratio. Because of it’s high userbase, speeds are also excellent, and torrents generally have a longer life than they do on trackers such as FTN. One of the most requested trackers in the BitTorrent community, TL has previously had IRC recruitment, as well as Twitter recruitment.
Similarly, IPTorrents has high activity levels, solid speeds, and is notoriously easy to seed. On every invite forum, IPT invites are given away like candy.

    If you want…. CN
    Try… PTN or Goem

Whilst CN has an excellent community, PTN and Goem are more than a match in terms of content. PTN has fairly low activity on torrents, however generally all torrents are hosted on seedboxes, so speeds are, on the whole, pretty good. Goem’s speed may be lacking in comparison – although it is by no means slow – but it makes up for this by offering a fantastic range of movies.

    If you want…. Bitmetv
    Try… TVTorrents or BzEe

Whilst neither of these trackers compare with Bitmetv’s fantastic speeds, and struggle to keep up with the level of content which Bitmetv holds, for the average user who just watches House and Heroes, either of these trackers are more than enough.

    If you want…. Ex***
    Try… Pedros or What

For those not aware, Ex*** is a Lossless tracker which cannot be named. If you don’t know what lossless is, you don’t need Ex*** or Pedros. Pedros has an excellent variety of lossless content, and is a very good tracker for FLAC fans. Rumour has it that the only people who are invited to Ex*** are Pedros’ top uploaders. If you’re not interested in FLAC, or can’t find an invite to Pedros, go with What instead; it offers a very strong selection of Lossless torrents, and most of What’s top users prefer FLAC.

    If you want…. AOM
    Try… Bitme

The whispers around the BitTorrent community are that the only people who are invited to AOM are professional magicians. Assuming you don’t fall into this bracket, and you’re mainly interested in card tricks and party pieces, Bitme is probably the best tracker. Featuring a vast array of ebooks offering detailed guides around performing tricks. However, Bitme is also fairly difficult to get an invite to….

    If you want…. Bitme
    Try… Elbitz or Bitspyder

Elbitz is one among the best alternatives for Bitme, and generally opens signups once a month, so you shouldn’t have any trouble getting an invite. Elbitz offers similar content to Bitme, although generally the speeds and variety of content are not quite as good as Bitme, hence why Bitme is so sought-after. If, for whatever reason, you can’t get into Elbitz, Demonoid is a good alternative, offering a good selection of ebooks.

    If you want…. HDbits
    Try… BitHDTV or HD-torrents

When HDbits announced at Christmas that they would be opening their invite system, the reaction was phenomenal, and it’s not hard to see why; HDbits is comfortably the best HD tracker available.
However, HD-torrents, a relatively new tracker, is growing quickly and is the best alternative to HDbits, particular since the recent events regarding EuReKa’s move from AwesomeHD. Also a good alternative, and easier to find an invite to, is BitHDTV.

    If you want…. TranceTraffic
    Try… TranceRoute

Again, although TranceRoute does not boast the speeds or content which TT has, TranceRoute should still have plenty of content to keep the average Trance fan happy. Popular tracks are available on both, at strong speeds, and there are plenty of undiscovered gems at TranceRoute.

I would add that, when we talk about a substitution of Bitme, the better supstitution from Elbitz is BitSpyder...

I agree, there are some trackers which are highly wanted not so much because they offer something special, but just because of the fact that they are Level 7,8,9, 10 or because they are so secret that you can't hardly say their name, not mention that you cannot write their name or internet adress in public ( G*FT, P*tN etc. )... it's all about what U really need, which content do U need, do U like high speeds or speed doesn't really matter etc...

so, if U want to join some tracker or someone offers you an invite, you got to ask yourself a question --> do I really need it ?

LOL, like I said there are some veeeeeeery secret trackers which will hunt you down and put your pants over your head as punishment if U do something they don't like...

for example, P*tN, this tracker is so strange and secret that U cannot even find the address in public forums and similar places... this situation is even funnier if U know that some people who I have contacted on forums, to get P*tN's address, didn't want to give me the address... like I said funny thing : )
