Thread: Help with PTN ratio

well, the fact is the whole ratio system at PTN i find to be a bit confusing, if your upload and download are counted as one, how can you trade your gold in for upload when you could just download the same amount and it would sill look the same, doesnt mean that there is a ratio system in place at PTN??

No there is no ratio system it seems more for moving up in rank than anything there has already been some discussion of getting rid of trading gold for upload because it is pointless. Also maybe some people do not have the space to keep downloading and to seed properly. hope i helped some :)

Yes PTN does show your total traffic for all torrents downloaded/uploaded, but only takes in effect what u upload on a single torrent. They do have a ratio system, but its only for H&R on single torrents. The system does not track total traffic or take that into account when issuing warnings or bans. They know when u dont seed a torrent to a ratio of 1 or 72 hour time limit.

When u buy upload u are really buying upload just for the fact of buying upload. The global traffic they show in your profile counts for rising ranks and things like that. If u look in your profile u will see "snatched torrents" and this is what they take into account. If u dont meet the requirements on every torrent then u will receive a warning. However, there is no global ratio, which means u can download more then u upload > Ratioless tracker.

Im pretty sure only staff can see what your total upload is. U could always go to your profile under snatched torrents and add up all total upload, but that would take awhile. I think thats the only way to find out. I may be wrong though as im not 100 % certain.
