Thread: The death of scenelife?

Everyone knows that this site has been going down hill for a long time now, we have seen several instances of high level staff members leaving and payments for hosting not being completed in time with the result of the shutdown of services. I'm not sure but so far today it looks like ScL could hang on no longer with the site server down without a message and even the IRC channel is gone. Anyone else know what's up?

It Seems like that Dan. They are down since yesterday now.

Or they experience a server problem.
Or they got busted by an copyright company

It's a shame when any tracker busts out, the problem is there are so many better ones out there.
I had heard a lot about ScL and users comparing it to TL and RevTT, however the truth is it was nowhere near them. First off it was only Scene content (shocker) and it has so few leechers and seeders grabbing anything was unlikely to seed back, so you had to resort to grabbing a pile of the freeleech stuff to build a ratio on.

It was good for the freeleech, but as a 0 day scene tracker it's been pretty poor.

In terms of peer activity and new stuffs i found the site to be very bad
but loved the speed and fl stuffs in it,
Scl is nowhere near TL or REVTT but still it is one of the best site for movies,
I also found it site members very helpful at times
I am seeding the torrents and they are working uptill now

I always found the site to be quite poor with speeds and retention.
The site had a nice layout just missing the speeds and leechers. TL, IPT or RevTT were always one step ahead of them.

it's a sad time to see a website shut down for any reason
