Thread: PS3 is being hacked.. finally with results!

the exploit has been posted on his blog, as wel some additional info on his used procedure.

Well, its great that he posted it. Letting the whole community at it always produces good results. However, I could never replicate that procedure! Waaaay to complex unless you're a programmer, or something.

Claripal, what did you use to produce the low pulses?

I hope they will find a way to enable the video card when your using linux :(

Dont be too excited, its just the first step before you can play dl'ed games via the PS3,
there is still a LOT to be done.

Geohot is a beast! I have been waiting for the ps3 to get hacked since I bought one after my ps2 was playing ISO's I got from torrents. Also my psp has custom firmware as well which looked exactly like ps3 so I was excited. But 3 years later still nothing... I've also used blackr4in and it is so sick, jailbreaking iphone less than 30 secs, it's a lot faster than QuickPwn.

This guy should be the hero for all the hackers worlwide !

Well now i might actually buy a PS3, been waiting to buy one. Didnt want to buy one unless i could play burnt games :)
