Thread: BitMeTV Bans Romania!

Well there goes another Private Tracker closing it's doors to the users from Romania. Soon theres not going to be anywhere for Romanians to get there files from! I feel sorry for the users from there who are not cheaters, traders and the like. I'm from the US and dont know what the hell I would do if my counrty was banned from so many places.

I'm not a member of BitMeTV so I dont know the whole story behind the ban. But from what I was told, BitMeTV didnt even send out a mass PM as they usually would of done. All they did was add a thread in the forums yesterday titled "Romania Issue". Here's the forum post:

Romania has now been banned but exceptions can be made for Static IP’s.

This Ban unfortunately had to happen but it may only be a temporary measure to show that we were serious.

So don’t just vanish and think you can never come back!

Sounds like there may be some hope though, when they stated "temporary". They've also stated that there might be exceptions for people with static IPs and seedboxes. The following is a message from their help channel in IRC:

If you have access to a staic IP from your provider or have a dedicated box then we can make an acception for the IP

Here's the message Romanians are getting when trying to access the site:

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /browse.php on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

If your a member and could shed some more light on the subject feel free to post. If your from Romania feel free to leave your comments on the ban! Will it affect you? Or do you even care about BitMeTV?

They should stick with the local sites they have.

Looks likt bitmetv is down. Maby some people are mad and ddosing

I feel sorry for the honest .ro people. Yes, there are cheaters that come from Romania. But cheaters aren't limited to one country, they come from everywhere in the world.

Too bad for the other good romanian users

Voltor, thats mean. what about all the other good torrenting romanians, don't you think they deserve to be on btimetv and other high level trackers?
Also for example, loads of people from your country get banned from trackers because of ratio cheating ect... You are a good member right? So how would you feel if someone made a post like you did?

Im not flaming anyone btw i just want him to realise he was being hurtful to other romanians.

and, don't worry, we have very good trackers, like filelist, iplay, music-torrents, docspedia, extremeshare, extremezone, last torrents, freshon and many many others:)
we are not idiots..we know what tracker means, but, i don;t think that only cheaters of this planets are romanian people!
Also, i don;t understand why BitMeTv and other "high" trackers don't try to decrease numbers of cheaters instead of banning one country...i think that means impotence...
Anyway...what is a "high" tracker and which are?

well there are bad people almost in every country and there are good ones too . but because of cheaters and traders the good people always suffer ..
i am feeling sorry for the good people :( because of those cheaters they have to suffer !!
