Thread: TL Cross Seeding

I'm wondering if this is in violation of TL's rules in regards to ratio cheating:
Since getting invited to TL I've been cautious as to keep a good ratio, so I havn't downloaded anything from there yet. Instead, I've been downloading off my other trackers then uploading the TL. I know other people have done this, and have suggested doing this to keep a good ratio, but if I have NO downloaded content and all uploaded, will they consider that cheating? I'm only asking because my ratio is getting crazy (it's around 18.5) and I'm wondering if they're going to get suspicious. Thanks in advance.

No,there wont be any problem whatsoever,TL is one of those trackers that actually likes cross-seeding,hundreds of people there with boxes would be having a gbs uploaded and no download.

cross seeding the the ultimate way to build up your ratio. TL doesn't have freeleech so it's kinda tricky to survive consider the following.
If you have a upload 2 GB, then there must be someone else leech that 2 GB. And since there is no freeleech, there must be somebody has a ratio less than 1 because the total seed must = leech. That's why TL limits down the ratio requirement to 0.5 I think.

Its easy to maintain a ratio on TL. Cross seeding is a great way to get your buffer going in no time.

I do it all the time, they don't really mind. Get the torrent from GFT, go the TL by the time i finish downloading its ready on TL and I can be the second seeder --- > good speeds:p.

Can anyone help me out with this? I have tried cross seeding before but, I can never get the second torrent to begin uploading.

I make sure the two torrents are the same of course and They both show as uploading in utorrent.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Download the .torrent file > Delete the first torrent > Set your torrent client so it doesn't start a torrent once opened > Open the .torrent file > Right click and select 'Force Re-Check' > Then select start.

I see this topic coming up time and time again, not just here but on tracker forums as well.

Is there any torrent site that doesn't allow cross seeding?

EDIT - I should add that I belong to a fair few trackers, quite a lot of higher end ones and have yet to see it not allowed.
