Thread: Discussion Bonus points Section good/bad

hey all,

i would like to know what the users of TI think about this bonus giving. In my view, this section is so wrong in many ways.

You are giving these bonus points, while they can earn them themselves by seeding is it just me or is this section for like hit and runners that cant keep a proper ratio. So they have to "cheat" themselves for a good ratio.



i can understand people offering access to seed boxes and stuff but bonus points :S and of course you can say they can use these bonus points to get a custom title or other perks that doesn't involve higher ratio but if that's the case than why doesn't anyone in the bonus section demand for a ratio proof.

As fas as I know most trackers will warn/ban hit n runners even when they have a good ratio, I believe bonus points are a big help when you have been seeding forever with no leechers or everything is uploaded by users with seed boxes and you need a boost. The bad thing is for a ratio cheater to "earn" and "give away" this bonus he/she didnt even earn legally.

Im certainly in favor of bonus point g/a. They help people who are in dire need. If they were so bad, why would trackers allow bonus point transfers in the first place?

To have bonuses is good as a liquid assets, especially if you can transfer them to other people, so it can be a holiday gifts as a gift card or just a good way to express your appreciation ... and as was mentioned above it can be a good helping hand to folks in need, though i believe that i shouldn't be a tradion to because it's better learn how to avoid to be in troubles ...

I think they're really great if you have a new account, let's you start building up your ratio and buffer.

Points are great for new users to get their feet off the ground. Also if they are new to torrents and don't have the ability to cross-seed because they don't have a large archive.

I think you go into this assuming everyone has a good connection and or seedbox. If you ask around there's still alot of people with 15kb/30kb upload speeds, and it takes them alot longer to seed to 1:1.

So for the people that fall into that category i thinks its great for them to have a place that they can receive a helpful boost.

Sometime member asked for the bonus point for trade the invite point at the tracker, so this is not good for me..

but if a new member or existing member want to use this invites to build the ratio, why not we give them..

maybe we can just put another rules for every thread that there must trade the point with the ratio build but not for the invite points at the certain tracker..

that's my opinion only.
