Default I am wondering the names of some good trackers

I am new to the community and only know a handful of private trackers. Basically, I'd like to know of some good general trackers but not just any.

The ones I'd be most interested in would be very safe as in the likelihood of being monitored on the tracker is very slim and that is my number one priority, the safer the better. Plenty of content, same day releases, and good seeds are also important.

I do know that some trackers are difficult to get invites to and maybe those would be most ideal for me. But, I am not positive if exclusive means safer. It seems like it would be. Maybe someone can clear this up for me.

If you really think you can be safe on any private torrent tracker, even the most private ones, you're kidding yourself. Rest assured, no matter where you download from, there is probably someone there collecting information about the users.

That being said, private trackers are really not the focus of the RIAA/MPAA/whatever it is you're afraid of. They're much more interested in mitigating the problem of public trackers. At least for now. I wouldn't be surprised if the sites that consider themselves to be "super private" are the first ones to go once the focus switches. It would make a bigger statement to knock out a site like f*** than to go after each of the smaller ones. It says, "we're everywhere", effectively eliminating any security the private tracker realm supposedly provides.

Privacy and security on the internet are just illusions. You're not really that safe, so if you're concerned about privacy, don't use torrents. That's all there is to it really.

I've always thought the same thing myself except one part of what you said. That there is probably someone monitoring. I disagree with that. There are millions of torrent users and only so many monitoring. I am not sure how many, but I can only guess that it is a fraction of torrent users.

It is a game of playing the odds much like roulette. You can bet on a single number every day and eventually you'd land on it. Except it's the opposite with pirating and the odds are profoundly in your favor.

Given that there are steps that I can take to increase the odds in my favor. Using a tracker with a tight knit group seems reasonable to me. And as you said right now they're after the big ones. I see no reason why the MPAA, RIAA, or whoever would switch over to small trackers when they can pull much bigger numbers out of trackers like The Pirate Bay and Isohunt. Why fish in the lake with only a few fish and no big ones?

You may even be right about them starting a campaign on private trackers to send a propaganda message to scare, but it seems counter productive. They were never effective at rooting out public trackers and the users and private trackers would further complicate things for them. Again, it's all still playing the odds. There's nothing I can do to make myself completely safe.
