Arstechnica reported yesterday that the M$ LE tool for collecting volatile data from alleged crime scene computers - a program which runs as a live cd or from a thumb drive - with the acronym C0FEE - has made it to bittorrent. Now you can flirt with the law twice by downing it and then using it.

"Chances are you won't have any use for the tool, but pirates get a thrill from having something they shouldn't, and a forensics tool only distributed to police departments around the world is pretty high up on the list of things you shouldn't have on your computer. The forensics tool is approximately 15MB in size and works best with Windows XP. Microsoft is working on a new version of C0FEE for next year that fully supports Wind0ws V1sta and Wind0ws 7."
