Default Possibility of getting accepted to a good tracker with no prior tracking experience?

    Hi there,

I'm curious as to whether or not it's at all possible to be accepted to a good tracker without having been a member of a private tracker before. The only seeding I used to do was through public trackers (namely mininova & thepiratebay), however, my main focus was on educational/e-learning material.

I don't necessarily want to waste my time getting accepted to a tracker that doesn't appeal to me (i.e. anything that isn't in the realm of bitme, bitspyder, elbitz, etc..).

I'm wondering how possible it is, without any sort of ratio proof (aside from my old uTorrent stats on my storage PC) to be accepted to one of the better e-learnining private trackers?

Or should I just not even bother?

If you dont have any prior proofs, i dont think a lot of people will be willing to invite you to the likes of BitMe, especially with so many people with VERY good proofs around. Also, i dont think getting into a low level tracker is exactly a waste, as even on high level trackers, you wont find all the data. For example, i have a BitMeTV acount, but still use my TvTorrents account very much(if not more). Also, because you have never used a private tracker before, you dont have any experience maintaining ratios. Its a little more complicated on high end trackers than "seeding what you downloaded". So id certainly recommend you to get into a "low" level tracker, get to know the ratio system a bit better, and then try to get on the likes of BitMe.

Get into bitspyder first. Try here: See maksimir's edit. if you need a link. I like bitspyder, its a great elearning site. And from what ive heard, bitme is very hard to seed on, so give this a shot first.

Also, you never really know mate. Some people put more weight on other things other than proofs, for instance I myself look primarily at past post history to try to get a feel for a person's personality. That to me is more important than proofs.

Nothing wrong with applying, worst thing that can happen is you won't get selected but there's always another giveaway.

Which one would you suggest me getting into? I feel like once I sign up for a tracker that's not totally geared towards e-learning, and then get accepted into a place like BitMe which is what I'm more interested in, I'll become less involved in the first one I was accepted to.

I understand your recommendation to play by the rules, but at the same time, I feel like I'd be of a huge disservice to the first tracker I join once I lose interested and my ratio goes down. :\

You would still find use for a "lower level" tracker. I do.

And lower level" by the way doesn't necessarily mean lesser quality, usually just the difficulty level of gaining that invite. I would definitly recommend bitspyder, its great. I can invite you now if you want.

My recommendation wasnt only to play by the rules. As i said, you might find some stuff on someplace else, if you dont find it on bitme. Im personally a part of bitspyder, and i like it. Havent personally tried to get into bitme. But if you ask for recommendations, id say bitspyder is good. Check the edit on my previous post for a g/a. He isnt asking for any proofs....

Well, it's possible, provided that you have very good friend (preferably in real life) who is a member in tracker you are attempting to join and is willing to trust you with invite. But you can't seriously expect some stranger to invite without knowing anything about you and without having any proof abot your ability to keep your ratio, especially in hard to seed trackers such as BitMe.

So my advice to you is listen to scoobydoo try joining some lower level tracker and learn and build from there.

In the end if some tracker is high level and is hard to obtain that doesn't necessarily mean it's better than some lower level tracker.

unless you know someone really good in RL, your chance of getting into Bitme is not very promising. Most people are very serious when giving out BTM invites, because of tracker rules. There are a few 'low-level' educational trackers, like bitspyder, learnbits, elbitz, which have open signups occasionally, and their invites are easier to obtain as well. Listen to scoobydoo, we all started there at low level tracker :D

Good advice guys. I appreciate the push in the proper direction. Especially ScoobyDoo. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Seriously? I've got some good video tuts/ebooks/mcat stuff that I can start seeding to prove my worthiness.
