Thread: Do you think the "Thanks" limit should be increased

A couple of you feel that a maximum of 5 "Thanks" a day should be raised. If this poll gets enough votes i may put it to the admin and see whether they will increase it.

Well I think it will be nice if it is raised to 7.

There are soo many great and helpful posts being posted every day, that feel 5 is not enough

I agree i don't see why it shouldn't be unlimited some of us may read many useful post per day and they should all be able to be thanked not just the first 5 you run across. I think that is why many people have gone to just saying thanks and not clicking the thanks button but i think we can all agree that the thanks button makes the writer feel that much better and that much more appreciated. Especially if they have put lots and lots of time and effort into there thread. So for my vote i would like to see the limit lifted. just as there are no limits to the amount of post you can make per day why should there be on thanks.

Personally, I haven't run into a problem with the thanks limit yet. I'm not against raising the limit though.

My guess is that the limit was placed because people were abusing the system. Yet another case of a few idiots ruining the fun for everyone else. People seem to be complaining about this a lot lately, though, and I do agree that folks here tend to be stingy about giving thanks where it's due. So... I dunno... maybe it's worth considering raising the limit.

The real question is, why is this posted in the "bittorrent" forum???

As far as i know rep isn't limited so i don't see why thanks should be
