    Default Showing Your Apprecitation

EDIT: People please, if you see a post or thread that was helpful in any way. "Rep" and/or "Thanks" them to show your support. Don't let these feature go to waste.
If you run out of Thanks, rep them.
Due to a bug if your going to rep and thanks someone. Rep them first and then thanks them you won't be able to do it the other way around

    Hey all
Ok so i've seen many, many posts all over this site saying "Wow. Thank you soo much for this", "Thanks", "Thank you", "Thanks a lot".. well you get the point. Anyway i see all these posts yet the OP never gets any "Rep" or "Thanks" for there posts. I have seen some great tutorials, received help and been given invites and i always "iGiver" (if possible), "Rep" and "Thanks" them. When i see people say thanks in a post and not give back in anyway i see it as boosting your post count.
I'm surprised some members don't just stop helping, give out invites and just keep to themselves. But it just shows how friendly and helpful this site is. Now the very least you could do is click a couple times and perhaps write a couple words on how they helped you. If you were the one posting the help you'd want people to thank you.
Please guys and girls its just common courtesy to show your appreciation for someone's post.
So please in future spend a 30 seconds filling out "iGiver" "Rep" and a "Thanks". It doesn't hurt you in any way and it makes the receiver feel like they made a difference to someone.

    Thank you for your time
    All the best

    Sam

p.s. Don't forget your also allowed to give iGivers to receivers of invites. If the receiver is very polite and shows a good ratio once their account has been confirmed. Then show them support.

EDIT: "Actually, posting a thanks comment isn't really allowed. The staff may make exceptions in certain circumstances, but comments like that are considered spam and we generally don't allow them. Use the thanks button and move on. =)"
JustJenna posted this. Basically check the rules before posting. Certain sections have different rules on what is acceptable so please follow them. As Jenna has stated, Thanks them and move on. If you do want to say thank you, then beef up your comment with relevant text.

I agree, too many posts containing the word thanks while there is a button for it. I must admit that I also have done this instead of using the thanks button.

I actually post thanks alot too. I think we should raise the limit of thanks you can give (ATM you can only give 5 thanks per day). So sometimes I +rep as well.

    Thanks!

Heh, just kidding. But you can't tell if someone was repped unless that person posts saying so. I don't think I have ever posted that I have repped someone.

iGiver is mandatory by the way, rep and thanks is not. And with the "thanks" limit as it is, it isn't always possible to thank a post. You will accrue rep naturally if you participate, it's nothing to sweat over.

I understand that others can't see that you have rep'd someone but i rep anyway. It just shows that the receivers post is appreciated
I understand you can't rep/thank everyone's helpful post and thats fine, but i still think its the right thing to do especially if someone gives you an invite.
I'm not sweating over it. I'm just saying i think people should use these functions. There on this site for a reason and there no point letting them go to waste. If you max out your rep/thanks you don't get banned or anything (unless you stupidly rep/thank people).

Whenever I see a good G/A, I mostly thank them, and If its more than good, rep them. This is the way for me to show my appreciation. There are so many great people contributing to this community, some with their invites and some with their knowledge. Also I agree with Beepin about the number of thanks. Sometimes I see a great post and I just cant thank it and then I forgot about it later.

I always try to hit the thanks button, but will often times post saying thank you and maybe another sentence or two explaining how the post or GA helped me or the community as well. Although, I'm sure there have been times that I posted a thank you and forgot to click the thanks button.
