What i meant by limited by your connection is that your seedbox will download the file at say 100Mbps. After its done, youll need to get the file to your pc via FTP. This max speed will be the speed of your home connection.
As for rss, they are just web feeds, that are updated by the sites as new content is added. They are a very convenient way to know what new torrents have been added. Along with that, RSS feeds are generally updated couple of minutes BEFORE the website itself, hence allowing you to grab the torrent before a lot of people. As you know, the first 15 minutes of a torrents life, especially on hard to seed trackers, is absolutely crucial.
