Thread: Why do you torrent?

I have 2 simple reasons, ate 1st is to save some money, and 2nd, is for example in albuns we buy a complete cd and in some cases theres only one good music

To save myself the agony of buying a game or whatever only to find that it is completely shitty.

My reason is to save money..

The last 2-3 years most of the games that were released took less than 5 hours to complete..
I'm not really fond of spending ~~€60-65 to keep me busy for 5 hours.

i download to view the film before i buy it. yes, i actually buy films, but i dont want to spend money on something before i know i want it. when i bought my car i viewed it, test drove it, asked loads of questions etc. i didnt just see a glossy advert with a cool voice over and part with my cash on that.
if im ever in front of a judge being asked to pay fines to mpaa or some crap id demand compensation for being mis-sold films first. i saw vantage point in a cinema cause the trailer looked awesome, the film was nothing like it! ive seen more bad films in cinemas than good and got fed up with it. on the other side my dvd collection has hundreds of titles i would never of considered had i had to pay first to see them. mpaa are just pissed that they now have to make films people want to keep rather than make crap with maybe some big name actor and a bigger marketing budget.

I save money AND get things before they come out... It's great :)
