Thread: Why do you torrent?

I have to say it's all of the above really. I like saving myself some money, but sometimes, even downloading something I get the original after. I like giving back to the communities and seeing new people. Overall it's fun!

well one its a great hobby being part of the scene and of course saving moneys nice and getting stuff before everyone else put being part of the scene makes it awesome for me

i use torrents for saving time...bcz once u started it should starts download n when it finishes u get it n enjoy but in direct link u have to join exatract and many more things...hence i like torrenting..

It's really hard to find psychedelic trance in the u.s. As far as I know the only way to actually get a Psy cd is to order it from a different country. So like most psy listeners my only way to obtain the music (aside from paying 40$ for 1 cd) is from torrents.

Using torrents is the fastest and easiest way to get movies and music for a long time. I haven't bought a CD in years because I see no point in doing that. Sure, I could use digital downloads from iTunes or something but then I'm just giving my money to someone like Jay-Z/Beyonce who earned $100+ million in 2009. No thanks...

Ermmm, the simple fact that record companies shouldn't be making so much money when it's the artists that we enjoy listening to.

Because I don't give a damn about multinational companies. Why would I pay their high prices to make them richer and more powerful? Plus, the variety and diversity in the net can be found nowhere!
