Some sites have a 10GB limit for upload or you have to wait 9hr's to download new torrents.

As a new member I need to get over the 10GB limit hump

So I download full torrents from other sources

then download .torrent from the new site, force re-check, and seed on

I've only downloaded 75MB so far, and uploaded 6GB in a couple days.

    Is this considered cheating?

I've read some place a person was banned for upload cheating, uploading to much? or something...

What do u mean 10 gb limit?

What u are doing is called cross seeding and depending on the tracker this may be allowed and may not be. Make sure and read the rules and search the forums to find out. Also if u have a 9 hour wait on new torrents cross seeding will still not work on them. Meaning, if u get the files from somewhere else to bypass the time limit, there will still be a wait period for u to seed those files. Is cross seeding working for u with a time limit?

Have to upload more than 10GB or will have wait time on new torrents.

I'm seeding torrents that are past the wait time.

No it isn't cheating at all. Most reliable trackers will tell you to do this as a way of reducing wait times. The only drawback will be seeding takes up any available slots you may have while on wait times.

Ok i gotcha. It all depends if this is against a trackers rules or not. Most of them allow it. At least the trackers i belong to anyway. Especially the one's with a time limit like TL and RevTT. They actually allow cross seeding and encourage it to get your ratio up. I would still read the FAQ, rules and search the forums just in case. I usually cross seed to 3-4 trackers at once and never had an issue, so i think u'll be alright. Just read over everything.

without cross seeding i probably would have been banned from revTT. I have no idea why, but i find it way harder to get my ratio up on RevTT compared to other trackers =[

I dont think that is the case everywhere. Cant comment on other trackers, but on TorrentLeech, where im a member, cross seeding 100% of a file does not take up any of your slots. So in essence, if you have all the files in numerous torrents, you can seed as many as you like, with only the downloading files counting towards your slot limit.
