Default How Do You Keep Track of the Trackers

Hi guys, my question is how do you keep track of all the trackers, user names, uploads, downloads, and passwords you use. I've had to buy a notebook to keep my data info in (safely locked away of course) Whew!

I use a word file that I backup on another computer for the trackers names and passwords. I keep all the torrent files together on 2 separate 1GB hard drives and I seed them forever.......basically until there is no more interest in them for a long time. Right now I'm seeding 145 files. As far as knowing which trackers the files are from - I either check my snatch list at the site or the torrent info in the torrent file.

I know this might sound like a security issue, but im not worried about it. I use firefox to keep track of everything for me with bookmarks and a password saver. I then use xmarks to synch it to whatever browser im using so i can access them anywhere. I of course have my tracker bookmarks separated into categories and with tags so there easily accessible. Also i have all my downloads on another drive on my main computer separated with movies, music, et.. I also use an old computer as a media hub for the files im not ready to use yet.

This is what I do as well, I do have a little more security by having my firefox password protected. Then I use the tabkit addon (I think that is what it is called) to have tree like tabs on the left side. I keep all my trackers open in collapsible tabs, so I can periodically go through and click them all.

In addition to this, I use keepass to keep all my passwords (I won't have firefox save banking passwords for example). And then have a complex password written down except the last few/first few digits to secure keepass. I'm getting old, I cannot remember 30ish bytes of gibberish, but I can remember the words I throw around it.

I use a program called PasswordSafe to keep track of all of my passwords. It encrypts the data for me and lets me access it pretty easily. It also allows me to add a note if I wanted to, which I could use to keep track of downloads/uploads, but never have. I change the key once a week to a phrase I'll remember that has actually itself been encoded in some way. It's not a common phrase, it's something my twisted mind comes up with all on its own. My current one is around 30 letters, symbols, numbers, etc. None of the passwords have ever been written down. I just rely on my memory. Some day, that will probably screw me over ~_~

That being said, I have a pretty good memory, so I actually don't have any trouble remember the password for 90% of the sites I use. The PW database is mostly for sites that I haven't logged into for months, which means that my trackers are not a problem.

Passwords I keep in my head. There are several I use and if one don't work I try another till I get it. Most trackers will give you a few tries to get it right. As far as uploads and down loads basically this but on an external 500 Gb drive

Well, if you have gmail, you can make a document online which stores all the trackers username and password. Then make a tab on your browser to link to all of your trackers so that you pay them a visit sometime. and seed to keep the net flowing

I have a folder in my bookmarks that is just for tracker links (and T-I, of course). I don't worry about remembering my ratios, I visit all trackers every day and see them then. I keep account names and passwords written in my trusty notebook.

I simply put my torrent id and password in KeePass. I use them for almost of my web identity. The only thing I need remember is only my KeePass password which is 20 character long with combination of alphanumeric and symbol :D It works for me, so I hope that will be works for you too.

Sometimes I got lazy and ask firefox/opera/chrome to remember my tracker password and once in a while (usually a week or less) I flush them all. :D
