Default Is it smart to get rid of my trackers I don't use?

I wanted the community as a whole's opinion on this since I am unsure about this. I'd love to redistribute invites but i'm not sure if I can be active and seeding on all constantly.

I just joined more than enough trackers to satisfy my needs. 0day/general trackers in particular. I don't use some of mine now, since the pre-times on others (just joined SCC a few days ago) are great. The speeds are better at the higher level ones I am now a member of, and I was thinking about dumping my lower level ones (for example RevTT). But I know there's people in this community, just starting, that would love an invite. So should I dump all my lower level ones, or keep them, build up a buffer, and re-distribute invites to people here?

If you have a seedbox, just keep them alive by cross seeding. RevTT is also a site I'm on (signed up a few weeks ago when they had open signups), but I don't use it because I prefer TL/PTM. But I'm keeping the account alive and going just by cross seeding stuff I got from other sites. Same with SCC/ScT, any torrent I download on either gets cross seeded on the other.

Long term though, identify the sites you like and make sure they cover all your quotas. Personally, I could not do without TL, BitMeTV, and a fast pre-time tracker (SCC/ScT). Some day I plan on replacing ScT with F*N, no need for SCC and ScT and I feel ScT's donation system is a red flag for anti-p2p groups.

Keep them all going, so long as its possible you could get invites that people would use. For example BG/UG invites are pretty hard to give away, but some of the lower level ones are popular enough that they could be worth keeping. Thus far all I've dropped is some of the open sign up ones, I've kept all the low-level ones I've gotten including a couple I'll probably only ever use for invites. If all you have to do is cross seed once a month, it shouldn't be that hard to keep on top of it.

If you don't think its worth the trouble, by all means drop it, but logging in once a month to keep up isn't that much work.

You have SCC which is a great 0 day Scene tracker.
However RTT will give you acess to all the p2p releases SCC doesn't. If it was something low end I'd say just dump it and forget, but RevTT is a fairly desirable tracker with a lot of great content and probably the best request system I've seen. Ik now even though I have SCC, ScT and TL, I'd miss it.

If you dump it, it may be one you'd regret.

As long as you can keep them all alive it should be fine, since most of those sorts of trackers aren't full anyway. Its only when you start getting disabled that you need to ask for them to be deleted so you don't jeopardize other accounts.

@okgg. fyi, I probably wouldn't put ftn in the same catagory as scc and sct. You will probably always want one of those trackers.

If you have too many of the same types of trackers then yeah drop a couple.. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Waste of time keeping them for invite GA's as they are a dime a dozen on here.

However it's also worth remembering that alot of the time lower level trackers seem to have the one torrent that you can't seem to find on higher level trackers, so they can be good to keep current.

    @staffrodore..

May I know how you drop your unused trackers? Are you asking the tracker admin to remove your accounts? Or are there any other ways? I'm thinking of closing some of my unused tracker also. Thanks.

Just don't log in for about a month or two. Eventually they will be deleted due to inactivity.

Some trackers you might be able to PM a staff member and request your account be deleted, if that is possible it will be written in the rules somewhere.

I think it is good in a way as you create way for new members to come in !!!

and the other thing would be that it would be really difficult for anyone to maintain quiet a lot trackers

I guess the one you dont use and dont think it is worth to cross seed or cant do it, just let it go and be pruned, that's if you are sure you are not gonna miss it
