Thread: Waffles.fm downtime

(removed IP's) For those of you who only look at the browse page...

Sometime tomorrow or the following day, we're going to have brief downtime to alter our network configuration. This will involving changing our IPs. For those of you with static hosts files, here's what they'll be:

XX.XX.X.XX waffles.fm
XX.XX.X.XX www.waffles.fm
YY.YY.Y.YY tracker.waffles.fm
ZZ.ZZ.Z.ZZ static.waffles.fm

As the tracker has been warning people for a year or so, it's about time we retire Waffles :: Error and waffles.fm/announce.php as the tracker URL. Downloads have used the new URL, tracker.waffles.fm/announce.php, for the better part of that year. With that said, the old announce URLs will cease to work in the near future.

So does anyone think that this will bring more stability? Since the tracker is on it's own IP I truly think that this will help cut the recent random downtime. If It does I will be so happy, better access to all that music :)

Cease to work...?

Does that mean that all torrents that don't have the new announce URL will have to be updated? Surely they won't take all of them down..
