fake axxo release can easily be avoided by going into his userpage in mininova though.. but it seems he's stopped uploading movies since march.
I would have to say viruses and the fact that there are a lot of dead torrents (specifically whatever I seem to be looking for at the time lol)
There are tow things :
Low download speed, which dont depends on your download speed limit and
Hundreds of viruses, bad portscans and spywares, which is the most important i think
public tracker has lot of viruses and fake files, that is really harmful and time wasting metter
private trackers are really great because of the community, unlike public, which are prone to viruses and such.
Public trackers sucks because of their low speed, they are not safety, there is zero community and you can not be sure if you are downloading exactly what you need.
So the reason was only because of Virus and Fake Torrents? IMO that's not something difficult to avoid though....
I thought the reason was even more complex, like being watched by DMCA... with Internet Police recording and monitoring every IPs... etc.
Thats still happeneing at private trackers also. Just because they are private trackers doesnt mean they are 100% safe. There's people complaining all the time on private tracker forums about those nasty emails they recieve. If your torrenting, your not safe, no matter where your at. I would say u are more safe at a private tracker, but that could still happen anywhere.
The reason i stay away from public trackers is for these reasons: speed, no rules, bad community & aXXo. Private trackers have great communities and rules which make speed insane. Also no aXXo releases.
