As of 1st August the doors to LL will be nailed firmly shut and we will be going back to invite only once again, so this could be your last chance to get friends or family registered with us as invites will be limited and will shut off when we hit 20,000 members.

The new classes have now been implemented and details of requirements for each class can be found on the FAQ's page.

The Poll for the runner up of the banner competition has now ended with banner no: 3 the winner so congrats to Spiderman who has just had 100GB added to his upload ratio and 15 free download slots.

To end our Birthday month the site has now been made freeleech and double upload for the next 2 days (noon 1st August GMT) This should allow any new members that you bring in to get their ratio in order before we go invite only again.

We have decided to trial the lite uploader on a 1 month basis, depending on your line speed will depend on what you will be restricted to upload, below is a guide to this and it must be adhered to.

 House Cleaning and The Future at SciHD


First off, many thanks to our active members, as well as our dedicated staff for building such an awesome community in such a very short time. Soon, thanks to some technical geniuses involved with SciHD - as well as some staffer friends of SciHD at other trackers and of course more than one release group - we stand poised to usher in the next level of activity here at ScienceHD.

In the coming weeks expect to see a vast increase in the number of new torrents available daily, including new and improved SciHD Exclusive's that you won't find anywhere else on the net. We also have several great new contests with some truly original themes and prizes on the horizon for our valued community.

However, in taking pause to examine our future, I am also officially announcing that by August 1st, any member below the class of Ph.D that has zero snatched torrents will have their account disabled, and their IP's banned for life. Our community has worked diligently over the last 3 months to bring thousands of torrents packed with quality content to the site. Any member who has thus far not found anything interesting here, simply doesn't need to be here. After the house cleaning, we will also be lowering our max users, which has been the plan from the beginning: To have a small, tight knit community of users emphatically interested in Science and of course our guilty indulgence of Science Fiction

Additionally, though it's not a hard and fast rule for us to ban users with inactive invitees, anyone with grievous numbers will certainly have their accounts reviewed by staff. I highly suggest encouraging your invitees to become active if they desire to keep their accounts.

PS: PM'ing staff to remove your account will be ignored, so don't bother. About the only thing that action will get you is a spot on the list of bad IP's I send out to other tracker's staff detailing bad users who need banned. I suggest if you truly don't want your account, to simply let it get disabled. In the end, it will ultimately be less heartache for you and your inviter.
