Default best torrent programs for mac

so ive read an article when i wanted to get into "torrenting" and from what i got from it transmission was the best,

so i used it for a while, then updated,
    then, it started to suck,

it crashed, it took forever to quit (excuse was that the app needed to contact the tracker, but i think 20-35 min is a bit much for just "contact")

so i got rid of it,
then i reminisced from my pc days and remembered azureus,
so i did the google thing and came up with vuze(formally know as azureus)

    so i dig it,
    nice interface,
    fast(ish) downloads considering my bandwidth,

im just wondering now, what else is out there???
mind you the article i read about torrent apps for mac was written in '07

    thanks,
    -elopez1989

I used to use tomato torrent, and I love utorrent but as it is beta for mac some private trckers might ban you for using it. Though being utorrent you should beo k in most instances.

Can't you run Wine and use build 1820 of uTorrent?

I don't know if it's possible since I don't own a Mac, nor do I have any experience with Wine at all. But I think you could try that. Transmission is the best client for Mac, but I guess if you're having problems with it, you're gonna need to find something else.

You could try Deluge, but getting it to work on Mac is not simple from what I gather.

Plus isn't it fairly difficult to set up wine? If you want to run Windows .exe files, what you're looking for is Crossover.
