Thread: Sites that sell their invites for money

How do you feel about that?



Personally I think it is quite disgusting because it is just another step away from what filesharing is or at least should be about.

Also in most cases I find it hard to believe that that money is needed to keep the site running.

I don't really see the problem tbh. At the end of the day, these trackers we love so much wouldn't be able to sustain themselves without a helping hand, so if selling a few invites, or asking for donations is whats needed, then so be it.

It's not really hard to believe, server/host costs.
But imo, it's pretty stupid to pay to get invitations..

Well they need to pay for their IRC and bots somehow .

There ARE real costs in keeping a popular site up (just ask Dave - it doesn't all go to booze and hookers). I don't have a problem with it (don't like it but I understand it).

yea well it is not that bad thing, but i still think they need to do something more.... reachable to all not just for vips, though it is good idea cos i know it costs money, but when u donate u don't donate cos of invs lol, u donate cos u wanna help

I have no problem at all with donating, its just invite selling that bugs me,lol.
