Thread: How can I increase my ratio if nobody leeches?

  1. #1
    My question is this:
How can a good private tracker (TL) only offer 7 days for a user to up their ratio to 1.0? What about in my case, where I have been seeding large files for several days but there are no leechers... I can only upload as much as others download, and if nobody downloads it, I get banned.
Does this mean I should only download the most popular torrents that have the most leechers?

    Please advise!

Downloading the newest torrents with the most leechers is the best way to get your ratio up. If you download an old torrent it could take weeks to reseed! You can also download from a public tracker and then upload to your favourite private tracker. Just make sure that it is the exact same file that your private tracker has.

Good idea is to keep all your torrents on seed, then at least you get a lot of small speeds

Don't download from TL until you have a good ratio. Instead download from TD or whatever else but make sure to download the same torrent file as a very new torrent. Ex: Weeds comes out on TL. I wait. It comes out on T. I download it there. I download the torrent at TL as well and seed there to enjoy pure upload credit.

Own experience: Download xvid simpsons season at somewhere else and seed on TL, Got over 300GB uploaded there by incomplete seasons =)

Download the newest torrents, and seed the living hell out of them. Build up a buffer. Seed enough to get a really high ratio, so much so that if you download an older torrent, that your ratio will still be above 1.0 if you just purely leech that torrent.

I am having the same problem. Question: How do you reupload the torrent you downloaded from a public tracker to a private tracker?

Make sure the file names and file folders are all named correctly in your normal download location, then just download the torrent file from the private tracker, and it will check for missing files.

the only solution you have is to wait for someone to appear and download that torrent! There is no other possible way... Have in mind that sometimes for example you download a file that has a lot of seeders and a lot of leechers to... And you start seeding but nothing happens.. Whats going on??? The thing is that It´s possible if you have slow connections, upload connections specially, that with a lot of other seeder the leechers have what they want and dont need you!!! Thats a problem!!!
