I used to leave my computer 24/7 and managed with some freeleech to keep a good ratio.\
Yesterday i buy a seedbox. Took the newest torrent that came out. And until now i have uploaded almostv 100 GB. In 24 hours. For only 11 euros a month

Uhh
You can also try automatic downloading (some trackers enable this, via some RSS feed for example). This way, you get on the torrents as soon as they get on, and you're certain to be able to upload quite a bit.
The other thing I always do on new trackers (Since for whatever reason I don't like cross seeding), is to sort the site by leechers, and find the worst seed:leech ratio, which is usually some unbelievably HUGE movie pack. ie. there was one on TL that was the top 25 IMDB movies of all time most of them in DVD-Rip quality, the torrent was close to 100gb. It had 25 seeders and 200 leechers. So I downloaded it, picked ONE movie that I wanted, and just seeded the shit out of it since theres still tons of people trying to download the whole thing. My ratio is sitting at 6.5:1 right now and I joined the site 2 days ago.
Not to mention it actually helps having a good bandwidth as well
It's a good thread. Covers more or less everything on how to be a good seeder. One thing that bugs me though (with all respect). Considering this ought to be a good thread for newbies as to guidance to good seeding. I can honestly say, that I, coming from another country and probably not accustomed to the use of the english language, is still perplexed about the use of the short terms.
I mean, what DOES RSS mean? Or all the other short terms people use in comparison with the torrent world?
save wear and tear on your p.c , downgrade your home connection, money saved get a seedbox, no need to leave p.c on , get at least two more years use:)
i would advise you jump on files that are new that no one else has jumped on yet if you believe that people will eventually download it.
Dont download things with 0 leecher.
Get the new releases when they come out.
Use a site like RSLog.net or something to find about leaks, etc.
Man, TL taught me how to function in a private server. It was ROUGH to get a good ratio there... but once you're over the initial phase, and can access the newer torrents, it's really not a problem to keep a decent ratio.
On the other hand, I had a rough time when I was in OiNK, just because there was SO much good stuff to DL, I couldn't resist! I had to upload my own torrents to keep myself afloat there!
Well, I have my computer on 24/7. So, I have my utorrent seeding many torrents. The thing about the torrent world. You can't always just seed the torrents you want. They may be old, not many others may want them. You will have to help seed torrents that you may not want, but many others want.
Also, Having a seedbox helps.
