Also if downloading RARed Files, download only one of them, and seed, then download another and seed again :)
TL is one of the easiest site to seed on. I would suggest downloading torrents with large number of leechers, until you get your ratio buffered.
It may be a solution for your personal ratio issues, but at the same time can be the very reason why others will get ratio issues. That`s why some trackers even forbid overseeding.
If you are on a site where it is very hard to keep up a good ratio it might be best to get the admins to adjust their credit system. And if the admins don`t listen to their user base the site might be crappy anyway.
But having some problems when you are new on a tracker should be expected and should be dealt with by very carefully selecting what and how much you download and seed. Still the easiest solution for ratio issues is usually to become an uploader (that is if the tracker let`s you).
This works on other trackers but not on TL as users below the ratio limit (certain ratio) wouldn't be able to download newer torrents as these torrents would have a time limit (eg: 48hours before the user is able to download it)
But as what these forumers has said, i would like to add, Check for a popular file (most recent movie is the best for me, which still has alot of leechers and no time limit for you) What you do it, find the same exact file from another tracker and download it. Then add the .torrent file from TL to your torrent client and point it to the folder where u have already downloaded the torrent. It will hash check the file (utorrent) and would start seeding. Then your ratio would go up.
I would like to add, There is a mega games pack, which you shouldn't download at all. As you can see, it has loads of leechers but those leechers are just partial seeders. Newbies tend to do this mistake of downloading the file and then trying to seed it but find out they are not seeding to anyone and in the end , damage their ratio. What i would recomend is the most recent torrents , which you have no time limit on. Don't be tempted by old torrents with loads of leecers as the outcome wouln't be good.
:)
release some thing
and stay seed from the other
because the fist rule of torrent is share
Best way to help your ratio is to have a whole bunch of stuff on drive.
I've basicly kept anything good I've downloaded for the past 4 years. Season's as mentoned are best, then upload an entire season and wait for a bite.
Well,it's always been known that jumping on new added torrents right on,just gives you the most better chance of getting your buffer up in no time...that's how I do it,I guess that's how everyone does it since in some trackers (like What.cd,Waffles & TTi),it's getting harder to build your buffer if you aren't within the swarm hitting a new torrent 2~10 hours right after it's been seeded back...
Another good thing (But I won't recommend nor do it myself, still others do),is what so called partial seeding...but back then when it was known, lots of old accounts had over 3TB+ buffer in less than a month doing that on large packs (300GB+)...however,trackers began to give warnings & sometimes even authorize a BAN for whom caught doing that...
waffles.fm is a very hard to seed.
what i do is upload my own torrents.
uploaded 20+ torrents have a ratio over 10.0
