Thread: Do you always read all rules and FAQ?

It's (almost) always the same old story: you've just got that long-awaited invite for that long-awaited private torrent tracker. Then you go on with the confirmation link, pick up an username, write down your top-secret password and finally... here they are: checkboxes!

• I have read the site rules page
• I agree to read the FAQ before asking questions

But do we really read AND understand them? Every time?

As far as I'm concerned, most of FAQ and rules does not differs from side to side.
By now, I guess to know them by heart!

I rarely read rules, FAQ or even instructions on electical good.

I just think I know what is right/wrong and follow it.

There are some exceptions - like the rules for introductions threads to this site ;)

I basically know Rules and FAQS by heart nowadays specifically for private trackers lol.

The ones for this site I had to read thoroughly seeing as how many people were constantly being scolded :P

never ever do i read them, theyre all pretty much the same
no ads, be nice, dont spam, no flame wars etc

If the rules are public, I usually read them before even thinking about getting in. With my small pipes, it doesn't make sense to join a private tracker if I can't keep up with it.

Is the poll referring to rules and FAQ of trackers or of TI? I read them all anyways even though all the private trackers are more or less the same. Seed to 1:1 or for 60-72 hours and maintain an overall good ratio etc... Now when it comes to TI I doubt that most people, especially the new ones, do actually read them thoroughly.

I ALWAYS check out the ratio rules and bonus system if there is one. And the seeding rules like Morti above me said. Rest of the stuff is mostly the same though, so I don't bother.
