Thread: How to get invited by McHammer

Here's how to move your way up in the torrent world as told by yours truley, McHammer.
So you're a bit of a noob, you have demonoid and IPT and maybe a handful of other low level trackers and you want to get into some better trackers. Well here's how you do it:
Now this may sound simple at first but it involves true effort not just posting your screenshots in a giveaway thread and hoping someone will finally give you that invite you've been searching for. All you have to do is go and join the IRC channel and chat with people. People are more likely to give invites to someone they know. If they remember you from talking to you on IRC they might give you an invite that might have gone to someone else. Also there are a lot of invites given in the IRC so try to be as active there as you can and if you are lucky you'll get into those top trackers you're looking for.

That's true but what if ur not much of a talkr like me..

Hammer knows what he's talking about. Hanging out in IRC and goofing around is a lot better than just begging for an invite on a thread. Being a little social got a newb like myself into Waffles and TorrentLeech.

People in the IRC can be pretty generous sometimes.

You forgot to mention that one must not only be a good talker, but also witty, charming, and funny.

Really though, great post. The only thing I can add is that people should avoid being annoying or directly asking for an invite. Whenever I hang around on the IRC channels of different trackers I'm on and some person asks for invites, they get torn apart.

Yes i should have mentioned that you get invites by not directly asking for them. If you go around asking all day people with think you are greedy and undeserving and not give you invites, if you become part of the community people will offer you more invites than you can handle!
