Thread: Seeding Speed?

im pretty computer savy i'd like to think...but for the life of me i cant seed past like 50kbps and idk y. sometimes it will seed at liek 200kbps but for liek 30 secs thats it...anyone know how i can leave it uploading that fast longer?

What's you speedtest.net score?

Do you download at full capacity at the time?

Is this only when there are alot of seeders or is it the same when you're the only seeder?

Have you tried DC++ or any other client and checked upload speed?

and i've never used a diff. client to check upload speed. but when im downloading a file usually duznt matter how many ppl r seeding i upload at a really high speed. but if im jsut seeding it doesnt go to high ever.

Try another client to see what you reach, also if you're behind a firewall, router or such try opening some ports.

what client would you suggest...and im not on a router. i have the basic windows firewall thing...how would i go about "opening ports"?

Well if you dont have a router you dont need to worry. BUT most adsl modems are routers too so you might be on one without realising it. Go to portforward.com and search for your modem/router for a how-to.

i have a cable modem...but i'll go check out that site.
