Me personally I wouldn't give an invite to someone unless they had a ratio of at least 2 and a upload speed of 2mbps or above.

At least 2?! Never heard about overseeding have you? How much more than 1 you upload, how harder it becomes for others to keep a good ratio. That's why on some trackers it's almost impossible to keep a good ratio. Since some with a seedbox keep upload till a xxxx.xxx ratio. =)
Ofcourse you have the exception that one you constantly upload some that's freeleech. You get ratio with that but others won't have any trouble with their ratio since downloading that torrent doesn't damage it.
Remember your upload is someone elses download!
I actually prefer to give something to people that actually have a ratio closer to one than around 10.
And yes I must say I also have couple of ratio's higher than 2. =) But's that's because I have uploaded something myself or had hit&runners on the files.
Even have on 60.xxx ratio since I haven't downloaded that much yet. But uploaded a 1.4xGB freeleech torrent around 10times.
Edit: BTW with a upload of at least 2mb/sec you exclude everyone with a normal ADSL connection since the max upload of that is 1mb/sec. And I am sure most don't have anything more than that... >.<
So far only ADSL2 is able to get above 2mb/sec, and most don't have that since it very scarce to get!

BitMe, Thank you Cheesy!! =D
Thanks to BitLovin for my Waffles invite. ^^
How to Give iTrader. | Ratio Proofs.
I am a member of the following trackers:
What.CD, Waffles.fm, BitMe.org, btmusic.eu, TorrentBytes.net, STmusic.org, libble.com, Torrentleech.org
And the following which I don't really use (yet/anymore):
BitNation.com, media-underground.net, Learnbits.info, TorrentVault.org, beascener.com & Demonoid.
I've never used/has a seedbox and I have a lot of over 2 ratios at different places ie. TL, Libble, RevTT, and many others. You just have to keep uploading.
I am currently uploading 41 torrents at the same time from the computer I browse internet with. My internet still works fast and I get amazing ratios. Just don't take down your torrents after you get them. I'm uploading to 10 different trackers all at the same time. =]
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...rim/samara.png
I have accounts at these trackers
ScT, HDBits.org, Blackcats, What.cd, Waffles.fm, ScL, SCC, BitMeTV, BitMe, ChristianTorrents, TehConnection, Elektronik, TL, RevTT, x264, Leecherslair, SceneFZ, Torrent Damage, The Vault, The Horror Charnel, UG, BitHQ, HD-bits.ro, Libble, Wunza, FunFile, STMusic, SuperTorrents, Filemp3, and Demonoid.
I'm looking for invites into the following
FtN and PtN
My connection is 15/1.5mbps and I have no problem keeping my 2.4 ratio on What. Hell, it used to be 10, reason why I say 2mb or above is because people on private trackers like to use the excuse that they can't upload fast as a reason for poor ratio and I don't know about you but I'm not gonna get banned or disabled for a stupid reason like that. lol dude, I live in Jamaica- a 3rd world country and I'm using a cable connection similar to Comcast, highest upload speed my ISP offers is 30mb and thats a business plan. I can understand how most people won't have high speed internet, but 2mbps isn't much to ask for. This is the internet, and the internet is serious business.
Oh, and the earlier question, I'm seeding a wrestling torrent right now from pwtorrents and it's just about 5 right now, still going up.

mhmm.. 2 or more...
I think it depends on the circumstances and torrent site.
Some sites make it easier to upload than others. And some people have better internet connections/working conditions. 2cents.

My ISP upload is limited to 500kbps but I still easily maintain 2+ on all my trackers (just have to seed 24/7).
I am a little worried because it looks like my speed tests have ruled me out from a few give aways but I hope my ratios will show I am serious...
I didn't said it was a problem to gain a 2+ ratio on what. I said that a perfect ratio is 1:1, maybe a 1,05/1.10 since you also have to compensate for the ones that get banned for hit&running, but it would be 1.00 in an ideal world where everyone shares.
Just on a tracker it's impossible for everyone to have ratio above 1, since what you gain in ratio go's down with another. That's why a perfect ratio should be around 1.00, for everything that has been taken there has been given back one. Since if you starting giving back more than you take it starts harder for others to hand out their stuff. You can't hand out something without somebody else not being able to the same thing in a torrent world. You simply can't.
Of course for this I haven't taken data corruption in account but this shouldn't be more than just a small percentage of the total amount of data transfer. And even done so it still adds to the ratio as both download and uploaded data!
And since you said you are on what, look on their forums for a time. =) I think I have seen some pretty articles there if I am right. =)
And indeed a low upload speed isn't a excuse for not being able to keep your ratio on the minimal amount, than you should download a little bit less. But it does make it a hell lot harder since BitTorrent works in a way that it prefers to download from people with a high upload speed instead of those with a low one. And that is where the above comes back in, overseeding makes this a hell lot harder since there are still some people torrent with a very high speed connection that keep getting all the upload for a useless ratio which they aren't using for anything expect for their e-dick. =) You can't use a big ratio for anything expect than for show! And there also are some torrent trackers which help you forget this... Since a very high ratio even gets rewarded...
Sure you should keep seeding if a certain torrent gets a lot of hit and runs, but not anything more than that, use that buffer you have for something you want to download it's there for that reason. ;)
Also as you said indeed a company connection! And as you may have noticed most people ain't a company and might not have the money for that. Some people are on torrent out of pure neccesity since they can't pay for there entertainment anyway.
Secondly these connections don't lie in the ground anywhere. A 30mbit upstream line also certainly a Cable, a optic fibre connection or something I haven't yet heard about but probably these same rules still apply:
These connections generally only are put in the ground in city area's. Since it's way to expensive to place these in area's where aren't that much people. Company's can't make any real profit from these connections so decide not to put them there.
So some of the possibility's of what's left are ADSL, ADSL2(which is barely laid out anywhere) or a sattelite connection.
As for a normal ADSL connection the upload go's to 1024kbit(1mBit) max, in a perfect situation which in reality won't ever happen, a reasonable max is ~80% of that. There are some technologies to stretch this a bit but never above 2mbit upload.
Of these 3 the only that can go above is ADSL2 which as I said you can't get on most places yet.
As alternative you also have SDSL which can reach speeds above 2mbit up, but you won't be able to use your telephone line.
There probably are also some options I don't know about but I think these are the most common and of those of which are the ADSL and sattelite connections the most common ones. I am not a expert (far from) but I can see that expecting a 2mbit connection is way to high.
For your interest I also have a lower than 2mbit up connection, 1mbit exactly and I am able to keep a good ratio every where I want. Only what.cd is a bit hard, but that is since I have just started over there. Climbing up steadily to where I want there too. =) As I get more torrents to seed or FLAC to convert to V0 etc I am slowly climbing up to where I want it to be. ^^
I hope you will learn something of this.
* Greetings Elonoir. *
The internet might be a serious business, but torrents/p2p shouldn't be. They should be about sharing with others, thinking about each other, where things should be free if you want them to be. Where leecher that want profit on the back of others should be punished. You should not leech anything ever in a bittorrent community, nor download nor upload.
Yes community, you shouldn't be the only one to think about. ^^ And if you can't understand something it doesn't mean it ain't alright on non-existent.
Could also work the otherway around and just me being wrong all the time, but I don't think I am this time. =) At least not completely. =p
Edit: lol! xD This ended up as being a bit to much of a big read. xD Think I can't control myself when I start with something I have inside my head? ^^" Will let it stay here if anyone is interrested to in reading it. T_T

I think it depends on the everything. If it's a site that has good stuff (like for me music or mac software),, but my upload amount is usually really high. if it's a site that I don't really care about the content, I may have around a GB or two downloaded and 50 or 60 GBs uploaded.
