Hi All,
Here is some information on the three most popular mac trackers at this time, that may help you in deciding which tracker(s) you might want to try to get invited to.
First, there is BrokenStones. I would say this is my favorite Mac tracker, because it has a lot of mac stuff... more than 5,000 mac torrents. They will even give you an invite if you prove to have a good ratio on another site! If you are interested in this, you can go to bswillyouinvite.me and give it a shot. Here are some details:
Maximum Users: 18,500Members: 18,038Online Since: August, 2008 (as BrokenStones.me)Torrents: 5,080 (active); 6,247 (total)Torrents By Category:Apps (all): 1,888Games: 439Music: 993Audio (samples, effects): 225Graphics: 745iPod/iPhone: 284Others (Movies, TV, ebooks): 991
The Next mac site I would recommend is SaveTheCoratee. This site has a cooler interface than the other mac trackers I have seen, and it also has no ratio system, but something similar to one, where you try to "save coratees." To get in, go to irc://irc.savethecoratee.org - go to channel #invites - type !queue and be prepared for a short interview. Be sure to have some of your private tracker "profile" links on hand, proof that you’re a Mac user, as well as a speedtest from Speedtest.net. Here are the site stats:
Maximum Users: 5,000Members: 3,362Online Since: August, 2008Torrents: 2,640Torrents By Category:Apps (OSX/Classic/office): 1,060Games: 332Music (alac): 305Components (fonts etc.): 199Materials (ebooks/audiobooks): 116Video (AppleTV/iPhone): 135
The last site is called VortexNetwork. They are very strict about not having their name mentioned anywhere (oops...sorry ;). I am not a member as of posting, but I will be trying to get in soon, and will update this once I do. To get an invite, you can try your luck on their IRC channel, which is irc://irc.vortexnetwork.org:6667/vortexnetwork.
Here are some site stats:
Maximum Users: 22,000Members: 5,732Online Since: July, 2008Torrents: 2,625Torrents By Category:Apps (OSX/iPhone/Classic): 1,288Games: 248Music: 0Components (fonts etc.): 257Materials (ebooks/audiobooks): 401Video (AppleTV/iPhone): 385
And there we have it, the three most popular mac trackers out there right now. If you ever want more info, feel free to PM me.
Enjoy,
gigaleech
