    Default Game Trackers

    So,

I've been thinking about joining a game tracker, but I am pretty clueless about them. Would anyone mind helping me out? In particular, I am curious about how downloaded console games typically work. Is a modded gaming console typically required to play downloaded console games, or are there alternate methods? For example, is downloading the games straight to the consoles hard drive a possible option. Do the top gaming trackers (UG, BG, ect) typically include tutorial information? If you had to pick one, which tracker provides the most community support for helping people get their consoles prepared and games working? Any other general information about game trackers in regard to console gaming would be appreciated

    So, to begin:

Is a modded gaming console typically required to play downloaded console games
    Yes

is downloading the games straight to the consoles hard drive a possible option
No, unless you have a JTAG'ed Xbox 360 or a jailbroken PS3 (the latter of which I don't think is possible anymore.)

If you had to pick one, which tracker provides the most community support for helping people get their consoles prepared and games working
    bitGamer by far.

Do the top gaming trackers (UG, BG, ect) typically include tutorial information?
Yes and no. It is there, but I haven't found anything indepth.

Now some questions of my own, which consoles are you looking to get modded. It'll be easier to answer your questions if I knew what you were looking for.

it depends on the console, some consoles can be dirrectly "jailbreaked" if you haven't updated them to latest fw(ps3), think xboxes needs to be chipped to be able to play downlaoded games, and wii is hackable without anything as i recall.

there is some tuts on the blackcats forum, cant rly say anything about bg since i'm not active on the forum there.

ps is typical dl install crack and play =)

XBOX360 is what I am interested in. Everything I've found indicates that a modded system is required. I was curious if there is a way to do it without altering the physical hardware inside of the xbox360(like without opening it up, soddering, and so on.) In other words, I was hoping that there was a completely software based method.

Given that I am not comfortable with opening up my xbox, it looks like I will have to look at buying one that is already modded.

So this means that any offline/non-xbox live xbox360 game can be downloaded straight to the xbox 360 hard drive and played if the console is chipped.

I sadly doesn't have a xbox anymore, due to it broke when i moved. However if i rember right, it was jsut to get it chipped/jailbreaked/hacked or whatever it was called and then updating to the latest customfirmware and then plugin and play.

Okay another question I've come up with. Do you only get banned if you play online modded games like cod or do you get banned regardless if you mod your xbox 360?

I wouldn't bother with a gaming tracker. I'm making an assumption here but your highest interest is probably for their support in helping you set it up.

To be honest, scene trackers should be just fine when it comes to the popular games. When you start getting games people don't usually hear about, is when you might want to check out a game tracker.

But, if you need support, there's definitely other forums that will help you mod your console. For example, I tried looking on how to get updated rosters for Madden 12 so when Madden 13 comes out, I don't have to buy a new game from EA Sports (which would essentially be the same game anyway). The forum I found helpful for this is Operation Sports Forums

No. You will have to open the console to do the flash method or jtag method. Also i think jtag can't be done anymore with the updated versions of xbox 360. This leaves you 2 options. You can find a old model and do it yourself (keep in mind old models get red ring of death sometimes), or you can find someone selling an already jtagged xbox (they will be expensive).

The only way to have downloaded games on the HDD is to jtag it. Keep in mind though if you have a jtag xbox you can't go online with it. It will be an older FW, and you need to have the newest to be able to sign into xbox live. So Jtag = no online. To me flashing the console would be best, because you keep online, it isn't that hard to switch out discs, it's a lot easier to do, i don't know how to solder, and you can use newer xbox 360 models that don't get RRoD.

If you decide to mod remember their is always a chance you'll get banned from xbox live.

Also it's been about a year since I've modded an xbox 360 so if my info is outdated, sorry. :)

Bitgamer is what you looking for. It's very good tracker for any console type and now have even 1500 xbox360 torrents. I'm not in any other gamers trackers so I don't know maybe is a little bit better tracker only for Xbox, but how I said Bitgamer is very good, it have very rare PS3 games (I don't have xbox 360 so I can't say this for your console because I really don't know).
If you searching something special, one game or two you can write for me in pm and I can answer or they have these games, and or they have seeders for these games because if you get invite from someone you should be in that tracker forever.
P.S. If you have questions and for PS3 I can always answer, just PM me . Good luck.
