Thread: Which torrent site shocked/surprised you most on April 1st?

IPtorrents promised (ehmm - no it didn't) a freeleech weekend with a 100 GB upload credit to the person who downloads the most! Of course it was an April's fools day prank, but the one that really got me was Boxtorrents - one of the best (if not the best) anime trackers out there who wrote a message -

Quote - "A while ago, a later to be announced North American anime licensing company contacted us with the request of building a platform for distributing their licensed titles. Internally we have decided to accept their initial request and we are currently discussing their proposition." Unquote

Quote - "Although Box has never meant for BoxTorrents to become a source of income, he can not deny the positive impact a deal like this might have on the anime industry. Fans know where to find BoxTorrents and if they can, for a small fee, view and legally download the latest DRM free anime, it will certainly open up new possibilities." Unquote

Anyway, Passthepopcorn got me. They put a message on the site that due to massive overhead costs, users would no longer be allowed to download movies unless they donated a minimum of ten dollars to the site.

I about had a heart attack when I read that, until I scrolled down and saw "OH AND HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!"

Someone ALWAYS gets me on April Fools. ALWAYS.

I was wondering if any of you would notice the *hidden* message! You're the first one to comment and first to notice, nice eyes!

I hate April Fools Day. My heart jumps into my throat at least 3 times every year. This site got me to - that thread between Balarau and Mikpatkeo, where Balarue accused him of being a dirty trader TOTALLY got me. I was STUNNED.

I was glad it was a joke but I was pretty shaken for a minute. :)

This tracker makes almost all users administrators! What a joke :))

PTP said that they didnt make their quarter profits to level off so to dl torrents you needed to donate $10.
Even though I noticed their profit # at like 350% b4 I didnt think of April fools
(All my torrents even went red and said conn refused but they still up/down'd)

man most of them did the same thing :( but none happened.
