Default Is P2P beating the Scene?

When it comes to movies and music, it sure seems like it:

These are only some examples of when the Scene has been beat by P2P. I think almost all of the latest movies are released by P2P first, and then scene.
Also, the Scene lacks CAMS and Screeners.
When it comes to music, a lot of the major albums get released on Waffles and Whatcd before they appear on the scene.
Is 2012 the year of P2P?

Well ptp and the scene have always been pretty linked as nobody has access to the scene so it makes sort of sense if you're a release group to just upload directly to a ptp site like scc.

    I think you are confused.
P2P groups release for the public.
Scene groups release for the scene (a network of topsites and whatnot). Scene groups hate torrents/p2p; they only what to share their releases with other Sceners. However, Scene releases get leaked out like crazy to torrent sites and p2l sites with "SceneAxx". The Scene is highly against that and they are constantly trying, with no avail, to find leakers and unsecure groups.

SCC contains only Scene Releases, with the exception of packs.

By P2P I'm referring to P2P groups like 26k, CHD, etc.

The scene lacks CAMs and screeners? What P2P group is releasing this type of thing?

I always wonder about the scene hating p2p/ torrents etc.

If that is true how come they sell Scene Access (not the torrent toracker) to non scene members. To make money, that's it. There's money in the scene somewhere, I personally think all this doing it for the props etc is a bit of BS.

Back on topic, while they don't always beat the scene for release speed, the quality p2p groups put out much better encodes than the scene and also give more users what they want rather than sticking to the same old outdated rules.

How do you know the scene sells access to non members? If so they'd be up to their necks with the FBI. Chances of ever being granted access are almost non-existent unless you got some serious contacts in the web. Also to a certain degree many encoders depend on releases by the scene to, you know, encode. p2p will never beat the scene. maybe in terms of quality sure, but in terms of consistency and speed, forget it.

I see what you mean but my point is really that they aren't so against it, http://torrentfreak.com/busted-by-th...loader-120204/ he was definately both. It seems stupid that they want to protect the release when they are so for taking it from the publishers.

It isn't hard to find people selling seats at topsites, just a matter of where you look. Otherwise how do you think the content leaks?
    This is called scene axx

Read my thread. I have noticed that P2P releases are beating the scene. Look around at some public tracker like Demonoid. Go to the Top 10 movies, and you'll see screeners that were released by the P2P before the scene, or it was unreleased by the scene. I remember when all P2P releases were based on Scene releases. Now I see that some P2P release their own novel releases, releases that the scene doesn't even release or even have access to. Piracy will never be the same to me, lol.

Is it just me or is the Scene wanning in power? Take iOS and Android apps and games for example. The high majority of pirated mobile apps are from P2P sources, not the scene. This is especially true for Android apps, where the scene release few apps a month, and P2P sites like bestandroiddownloads, and applanet are stock full of apps. I just downloaded a major Android app (Modern Combat 3 by Gameloft) that was released by androidemarket.com or something like that.

The scene is too old (it started in the 70s or something). Nobody wants to release for a small group and have it leaked out minutes afterwards anymore.

When I log on to GFT, all I see is a bunch of gayass electronic shit-music releases that no one even gives a fuck about, while some good music releases get leaked out by P2P groups. I guess that's where all the new groups in.

Yes The Scene is dying on some categories... p2p beats them on FullHD, HD encodes 1080p/720p, WED-DL, games sometimes (check btali213, cs.rin.ru and 3dmgame, some cloneDVDs are out before and sometimes cracked before scene games groups nowadays), ebooks, FLAC etc..

On the other side, The scene can provide some internal releases on ranked topsites/ Groups HQs or huge private FTP (400Tb++ of archive there, all scene releases since 2000/before). Btw they are very strong (first) on TV, APPS, 0DAY, ANIME etc... And all files can be found on one place (max speed, 0sec)
