Default how to download animes from irc

so i began today to search for sites to download animes because the sites that i use to stream them used megavideo, videobb and videozer which are all down since megaupload died (i am only watching english dubbed/dual animes btw) and in my search i found that you can download most of the animes from irc chat servers you can find in thesubwire.com and anidb.net
i used irc before to chat with other people and was pretty simple but men when i try to download from there it made usenet seems like a piece of cake
so i enter 2-3 irc channels and i try the !list command but i didn't know which trigger to choose , i choose a random one and then i click accept then on the tab that pop up i try searching get <filename> and cd <filename>
but i didn't find anything on any of the irc's i check but on the sites i mention before it says they all had the anime i was looking for

anw i ask on one of the chat rooms and they told me to try @find <filename> and when i did it open an other tab and it shows some files with the name i search but i didn't know how to download them
all the files where listed like
    <name of the uploader> /Anime/Rideback/Rideback (OP single)/01 - RIDEBACK.wv
    i try searching /Anime/Rideback/Rideback (OP single)/01 - RIDEBACK.wv but nothing start downloading

oh i am using chatzilla btw
so anyone can help an irc noob like me

Why would you want to download anything from irc anymore ???

You can easily find anything you want on the following sites:
    Tokyo Toshokan :: #tokyotosho @ irc.rizon.net :: Torrent Listing
Free Anime Downloads | Direct Download Anime Episodes
NyaaTorrents >> Browse | Anime, manga, and music - Just say the word

There's also Bakabt and animebyt.es but I never use them for 0 day releases.

well as i said i am only watching english dubbed and dual audio animes preferable in small size and it's very rare to find one on the sites you mention but on The Subwire - Share your passion and http://anidb.net it says that there are many groups where you can find the english version of an anime
i am not a member of animebytes but Bakabt banned to many good animes, does animebytes has many english dubbed and dual audio animes

I also use anidb, if you're looking for a specific file, there's it's CRC on anidb, you need to search the CRC on sites like Nyaa and Tokyo.
If you don't know how to find the CRC I can try to explain it to you.

A quick search on animebytes for code geass and a few more show some animes have a dual audio version so the answer is yes.

thx for your response , no i don't know what an CRC is or how to find it, do you mean to search the name of the anime with the name of the group on this two sites

CRC (cyclic redundancy check) is an error detecting code to confirm whether or not you've downloaded a file in its entirety.

    For example: [UTW]_Fate_Prototype_[BD][h264-720p_AC3][D1711E15]

If you happen to do a check with whatever CRC checking software (google it), and if D1711E15 happens to be something else, you have an incomplete file.

I like to use Baka-Updates.com to find new releases. Most torrents are hosted on nyaa.eu which appears to be down.

As for downloading from IRC, the easiest method would be to check anidb.net (or baka-updates) to find what servers and channels the episodes are hosted on and download directly from their XDCC bots.

Channels will usually have the listed XDCC bots in the topic of the channel by using /topic #channel command.

Some useful XDCC commands are as follows:

/msg botname xdcc list (this is usually disabled and a link to the hosted packlist will likely be given or pack 1 contains the list)
/msg botname xdcc search (use a search term like fate*prototype or gintama*157)
/msg botname xdcc info # (this will give you the info for that particular pack)
/msg botname xdcc send # (this will send you the pack requested)

If you have questions, you could join #torrent-invites and I could walk you through it in a proper conversation. Cheers.
