Man, this utorrent serenity is a modded torrent client, and i think, just think, that client is banned on almost tracker because with it you can cheat easily, i dont saying that you cheat, i saying that this utorrent client, with this "-serenity-" is a modded clienta made for cheaters..
Exactly my point, most mods/hacks are not concealed. This is how a genuine uTorrent 2.2.1 about screen looks like
Since my client looks genuine, what I was trying to figure out is if there are any modded/hacked clients that are concealing their identity to the user. So far the answer is no and there is no obvious motivation for such a client to be build, ergo my client is (was) not hacked, unless somebody knows such concealed mods and can post a screen here. But only during this research I could find this serenity mod. It takes some digging to find such clients and I just did not know there are hacked clients until now and I am a daily user. The reason I use official sites for download is of fear of mallware. Hacked/Modded clients are another reason to do so and most people using this site should check their source.
Anyone using such a torrent client must be knowingly do so or be naive/ignorant enough not to know what their are doing.
It just crossed my mind that maybe an about screen should be mandatory in the introduction, just help the naive/ignorant fix their client before starting to ask for invitations and getting their invitors banned. No offense to anybody, I do not think being ignorant is something to be ashamed of, we all start as ignorant at some point. It is better to be spanked here and fix obvious mistakes that can get you banned before joining a private tracker.
If anyone has more examples than I could find, a post here will be appreciated.
