Yes, on ratioless trackers you need to seed for 24-48 hours or to a 1:1 ratio whichever comes first..
Leechers generally mean that they will download from you but you need to be wary that on some trackers such as TL and BitMeTv there are a lot of part-leechers
meaning they look like leechers but they actually aren't so you need to be careful.
To upload the most, be the first people to download the torrent therefore the other people who download the file from you will end up downloading from you..![]()
Ratio is simply the amount that you have uploaded at a tracker divided by your download. So if you have uploaded 15 GB and downloaded 10 GB.. then your ratio would be 15 / 10 = 1.5
Most trackers are ratio based. A minority are ratioless. Ratioless just means that you don't have to maintain a certain ratio. Instead ratioless trackers usually enforce minimum seeding times to prevent anarchy. How long those minimum times are varies from tracker to tracker. Some people like the simplicity of ratioless trackers - I just see it as two different systems. Unless you only plan to have one tracker in total, chances are that at least some of your trackers will be ratio based.
A seeder is someone who has a complete copy of a torrent that is available for download. A leecher has only downloaded part of the torrent so far. As the girl with the really strange nick above pointed out.. a lot of leechers may mean that there are more potential uploaders. But it is often misleading. A lot of leechers may in fact be "partial seeders" or otherwise unwilling to download from you. So you shouldn't assume that they will download from you. But it doesn't take very long to figure out what torrents do well at a given tracker.

It is unclear what you are asking. You are either mixing things up or using confusing terms about time. Central America usually refers to the South American continent, while you probably meant the central time zone (in "America"). And America in proper usage means North America, which could be Canada or Mexico as well. Although I am fairly sure that you meant the United States. And it's unclear if you are referring to broadcast times or times that a release is posted to your tracker.
There are three main time zones in the United States. Pacific, central and eastern, which are currently - 7, -6 & -5 GMT. And traditionally times that refer to US Broadcast TV, refer to eastern or eastern/central time. So if a US show is said to air at 9 PM or 9/8 PM; most likely that will mean -5 or -5/-6 GMT. In the summertime, daylight savings time may offset this one hour. If you meant tracker times, then you will have to see if your tracker indicates the current time or look at a fresh forum post to determine what time zone that tracker and/or your profile settings are referencing.

thanx again copper i meant what you were saying,
that north america airs their shows in eastern/central time.so if i want to watch dexter for example and it starts at 8 lets say .does that mean it will show 5 hours ahead in gmt time at 1.also does north america air all their tv shows based on eastern time
Hey copper don't mean to bust on you but there are 4 time zones in the USA you left out Mountain. Most broadcast shows are set on Eastern time and then the local broadcasters can at their option time shift them. You wouldn't want to see your favorite evening TV show at 4 in the afternoon which is what would happen if you lived in Los Angeles and the show was broadcast in New York at 8 Pm. ianol154 what time zone are you in and I can calculate the shift for you.
thx panama, im gmt, i think i have it figured out, if dexter airs at 8pm est,the episode lasts an hour so it finishes at 9pm est .
so to download dexter in gmt at 5 hours ahead.download it at 3am
