Default Are super high level trackers useless?

I mean seriously, everyone wants an super high level tracker like FTN, or FSC, or something. But mid level trackers obviously have to best content and speeds (Whatcd, waffles, scc, etc). Because most high level trackers have a very small userbase, they usually have very few torrents compared to other trackers. Therefore, most high level trackers are "community" based. But honestly I could care less about a bunch of nerds talking to each other on a forum or irc, as if it is to make up for their lack of real friends.

It's really more about "1337"ness and e-pean really. Only that you can't really brag about it in real life because people will probably think that you are a nerd.

The reality of course is more complicated than yes or no. There is much truth to a lot of leet trackers being over rated. Particularly in terms of content. A lot of leet trackers are more about prestige and bragging rights, than content. But it varies from tracker to tracker and is subjective on how your view the tracker too.

I know a lot of people who are disappointed when they get into ftn or fsc because the content isn't amazing. But if you were joining because you thought it prestigious or some particular aspect of the tracker such as it being ratioless or having a friendly community.. then it may be just what you expected going in. Or it may be a huge disappointment. The best advice is to find out what the tracker is like in advance. Read the reviews, posts, talk to people that are members there. Then you'll have a decent idea of what to expect or whether you even want to pursue that tracker or not.

Levels are created, by traders and sellers, which means it's a simple demand and offer question. The rarer invites are and the more people want to join a certain tracker the higher it level gets. If it opens up to public it loses in levels, and so on. This shows that levels have nothing to do with the content and are only created by the people outside, because little information opens up room for speculations, in the case of FSC and FTN. About those trackers is information out there in bits and pieces for non members, which creates a hype. I would call those tracker half secret, for the sake of this discussion. Then there are trackers that are very secret, only a few non members know about it, you don't find any kind of information in public forum posts and they are usually the home of certain P2P release groups. They are too small, too private and have very loyal members to even get hyped and some of them are very excellent trackers.

In conclusion it means that everything can be the case, it exist great 'high level' trackers, content wise, and bad ones. It also depends what you want in a tracker, because I prefer smaller ones, because it gives me a sense of security, maybe a false one, but still. For others is having only 5 snatches even on the most popular torrents a no go, tastes are different.

I think you can't generalize things and for me personally are levels something I will never care about.

in my opinion there are enough information for each tracker even for the "hard to get in" trackers for people to know what to expect from a tracker before they request it, so i think a people must read the information MEMBERS (not people who just want to get in the tracker but have no idea how it is really) post on forums before requesting a tracker
and is a little indefinite to talk about "super high level tracker", some hard to get in trackers are very useful and some people use them more than popular general trackers and some are indeed useless
