Default Do you need to upload 1:1 on a poor quality torrent?

    Hey guys,
Say you download a torrent, and after downloading you find out it's a mediocre quality torrent (eg crap picture quality, poor mp3 etc) and want to delete it and move to a better quality torrent. Is it still customary to upload the poor torrent to 1:1, or can you just delete it? I'm talking about public trackers where there's no ratio enforcement.

If it is nuked or fake I just delete on open trackers. On closed trackers i notify the uploader, or write a comment to the torrent. I keep it seeded according to the tracker rules.

That said, it is not orfen i download from public trackers.

it all depends on the tracker' rules. For example:

BTN = you must seed a certain amount of time or a 1:1 ratio.

IPT = you can download and not seed.

On public trackers (when I do use them) I don't worry about ratio and such, there is no point in doing so. So if the file came from one then drop it and move on.

On private trackers regardless you must seed to a 1:1 or the trackers required seeding time.

That's not true, IPT has also a HnR rule.
On public tracker you can also delete the file right away or stop seeding as soon as you are finished, it's a public tracker.
On the other hand if it's a private tracker (which it isn't in this case) you must always seed to the reequirements of the tracker. In most cases it's either 1:1 (it differs) or a specific time requirement.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.
