Thread: Tracker for music discography

Which of the music trackers have a comprehensive collection of music discographies or are some of the non-specialist music trackers better in this regard?

For Discographies I am very happy with What.CD (when its up lol)

You click on an artists name and most of the time every album released by them will be there in every format you would want, I have never been disappointed by What.

Are you a member there? I would definitely look for an invite if you are not.

know transcoding bitrates lossless and lossy formats and you'll do just fine

Would be better to get into What.cd or Waffles? It's been difficult to decide in which one to get into, since I can't afford being into both of them =/ I've heard What.cd is more organized, but Waffles has somewhat difficult to find releases (dunno if these informations are true lol)

rutracker has a very good collection of music discography and its quite easy to get in and maintain a good ratio.As usual whatcd/waffles, definitely have most of the music files and a complete collection of the discography.whatcd definitely has more files than waffles and with the regular staff picks its easy to maintain a good ratio these days.

Yep, rutracker is the best if you want to download whole discographies. Sometimes you can even find pretty rare things there that are not present on What.cd or Waffles. I think the only disadvantage is that many MP3 packs are uploaded in doubtful quality (most of them are 320k, but codecs are always different). Nevertheless, there are no any problems with FLAC.
