I put the info in my seedbox but it never updates. Am I doing something wrong or how do you use it.

It would be nice to see the file the minute there uploaded and not have to refresh the site all the time.

I'm kinda new to some of this so thanks for the info.

not sure m8 not that clever i just know if u have a seedbox.server and that is installed u can set up a vhost so it sits in announce channels on trackers and grab whatever u set the filters up to grab like mine grabs archive from scc all archive and nothing else

I've wondered and looked for the definition also and I don't think it's an acronym. I'll see it capitalized sometimes so I think it's just a name. This version of Irssi is for autodl...

To use RSS feeds in your seedbox you have to add an RSS page link to your seedbox. Then you have to create filters for the stuff what you want to be downloaded. You can set up how often the RSS page link is being refreshed. It's easy. However, you'll have to learn to create filters because the syntax for creating them differs depending on a bittorrent client which is being used. There are loads of information on the subject out there.
As for IRSSI, it's an IRC chat client. Basically, when a new torrent appears on a tracker, it is announced in an IRC channel, as soon as that happens an auto downloader kicks in and the torrent is downloaded.

OK I think I got most of that Ninja but I guess I'm still lost. I have tried so many times and I'm just not getting it to work right (DeeTeeDee)....

This may help. Right now I have to sit on the torrent site and wait for all the popular TV shows to be uploaded and that takes a lot of time. I was under the impression that the rss could do it but all that does is take me to a different page. Now I load that url in my rtorrent and it shows the same info but doesn't do anything (what am I doing).

I go to the announcement page of IRC and that tells me what is popping up but lets face it, I know JACK about the IRC.

I think I'm just missing an easy (simple) step that is just killing me. I'll keep trying but I'm still open to any help or tutorials that anyone may have to offer.

    Thanks all.

Silentninja already said a lot and I have missed this thread before, but I do have some things to note:

There is difference between using RSS to check for new torrents and using RSS to check for new torrents AND also be able to directly download them, because you need the passkey, to be identifiable for the latter one. Most trackers usually offer both versions.
There should be a tutorial on every tracker, because getting the right feed can be compplicated sometimes (passkey ...)
RSS filters use regex to check for a match which slightly differs from the way IRC matches are checked. This give you a nice overview: Creating a regular expression filter

Some trackers don't have an IRC announce channel (none of the big Chinese HD trackers) so you are forced to use RSS and RSS can also be configured to update every minute which makes it pretty fast as well. I think it's a nice alternative and I have also set it up for tracker I have autodl, because I can check all their recent torrents and may find something that isn't in my filter. It's a more convenient way than having to browse all your trackers, which can be daunting if you have more than a handful.

What an RSS feed actually does is to list all the recent uploads from the categories you have selected. You can then download them directly from your client, without visiting the website. If you want to automatically download them you need to set up regex filters.

Setting up autodownload with over IRC is a lot more effort.
Do you have root access on your seedbox?
Do you have already installed it? Do you have installed the rutorrent autodl-irssi plugin? (an arrow next to settings)

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.
