Thread: Good quality and small sized HD encodes?

I'm usually only downloading BluRays or encodes from Eureka and Ex-Eureka members for watching and then archiving, but since I will probably have a very weak home connection in the near future I'm looking for encoding groups that offer an acceptable/good quality by a competative size. I don't really know what kind of size ranges are normal for 1080p and 720p encodes. Even though I look for smaller encodes is quality the main factor.
You can also recommend me scene groups, but I don't think they can offer a good quality, because of their strict size rules.

Please also add their current hometracker if possible.

Just saying but may be you can try 576p encodes

You could try HDlite, whose home is sceneunderground. They specialise in small 720p encodes. I don't have much experience of them, but have heard good things about them.

If you want to try 576p encodes, QOS and Shitbusters on iTs are really excellent, and there are also some very good 576p encodes on x264.me

1080p encodes are only really worth it unless you have a very large screen.

1080p in 4GB = Awesome

FASM does good 1080p/720p encodes at small sizes. Only thing I don't like is the use of AAC audio, you can get them on IPT and TL.
HDLite and X0r do some decent 720p excodes, unsure of their home but again readily available on IPT.
