Thread: 1080p or 720p MKV Releases - Which One?

imo, if you are asking this question, you probably can't tell the difference. 1080p, 720p, and remuxes all look the same if you're not really that OC about your video quality.

Plenty of good answers here. The real question can't be answered until you give us a little more info.

1. What/where are you going to be watching and what size display? Include laptop, living room, bed room, etc.
2. What's your storage set up/size? HTPC, external storage, NAS, standalone player, etc.
3. Do you care about quality and/or future proofing.
4. Do you have money? (lol, serious tho!)

i despise .mkv on the computer because there aren't any thumbnails :(

Not entirely true....

The MKV thumbnailer works with AVC (h264) video or you could use Metafox for thumbnailing MKV... so next this might come in handy when u are downloading ....cheers
