Thread: XS Temp closed. Alternative?

I've been a long time super user on XtremeSpeeds but now it has been put down for the foreseeable future. I am covered as far as movies go, but I really need a decent zero-day general tracker. Any suggestions of one I should try and get into?

You're likely to get a range of recommendations. Most of us tend to recommend our favourite trackers. Often without having a good understanding of the alternatives or the nuances between them. You would do well to spend some time reading in the tracker review section to narrow down your choices.

I am not a XS member, but I have read reviews for it and believe that you'd do well with IPT. IPT is a large tracker, with a wide range of torrents, it's easy to seed there and scene releases show up fairly quickly. The fact that the tracker has become very popular and that invites are reasonably easy to find seems to have devalued it in some eyes. But I don't find the tracker as any less valuable because invites aren't rare. This confuses prestige or mystique with utility.

There are of course other worthy contenders, which you will find in the reviews or soon to be posted in your thread here. Everything from general /0-day trackers to scene only or someone's favourite ratioless tracker. But in the end, only you can decide what tracker features mean the most to you.

I did go through some of the reviews but there are so many and most I have never heard of since I have been pretty loyal to XS, upping all my stuff there. I have tried FYT and Bitsoup but neither really hit it for me. I will see if I can get a hold of an IPT invite and check it out. Thank you!

I have some of the rarer and hard to get trackers yet still use IPT on a daily basis. It's a bit n00by and I find the mods to be assholes but the variety of content and easy ability to seed make it hard to beat.

I used to use TL as my general tracker but prett much just use IPT now, I would recommend you have a look at TL (Torrentleech) as well.

Something I learned a while ago was to not put all my eggs (upload speed) into one tracker. That way as I have decently buffered account on both TL and IPT if the worst happened and one of them closed down I still have an alternative and don't need to go hunting for a new tracker and start again from scratch.

Yeah I am going to be more universal in spreading out my ratio from now on. IPT sounds like a good place to try. I'm attempting to get an invite.

I'm in the same boat as you greymatter. Probably upped about 7-8TB to XS. Now I'm suffering from severe withdrawal and need to start somewhere from scratch. All the 'good' places seem hard to get in to and I haven't found anything to equal XS yet.
Let me know how IPT works for you if you are able to find an invite.

IPT and TL are good (if not the best) alternatives. If you want invites go to my giveaway threads or PM me maybe I can help you. XS was a good tracker I hope all good for the owner and the tracker back soon.

As I am also an XS orphan, I really feel for you guys, I really enjoyed my time with XS and was able to reach an Elite status, but as you guys said kind of kicks you in the but when they get shut down. Anyways good luck on your search for some new sites.

I was recently invited to IPT, and I can say that it's a solid replacement for XS, with the notable addition of a large amount of porn. That's the tracker I'd go for if I were you guys, best of luck.
