Default A Japanese Torrent Site or one with Japanese Subs?

Hi Everyone, I am rather new to private torrent tracking.

I am currently studying Japanese and have gotten pretty far into my studies. I am trying to find media with Japanese Subtitles but very few sites have those. I thought about it though, and even though torrents are illegal in Japan, these must be some private tracker sites where people download movies/drama/anime with Japanese Subtitles. That is really what I am looking for.

I am currently a member of Asia-torrents which is great, but there are very few subs in Japanese.

Anyone know of such a tracker? It would be really helpful!

    /Benkei

I would suggest trying to see if the subtitles are here first Subtitles for movies, then you can download the tv show/movies and just use the subtitles from that site, honestly I don't know how many shows there have japanese subtitles but it's one of the only places I know

lol, why do you think torrents are illegal in Japan?

Anyway, you're probably not going to find what you're looking for. The Japanese don't use torrent trackers like we do. They use the darknet. A real popular file sharing program they use is called シャレ(洒落) or Share, pronounced Sha-re. It's based on using the Freenet, well, just read the links, it's hard to explain. There's nodes and keys, but to even access these networks you have to communicate (in Japanese) on Japanese message boards and earn trust.

Thanks for the links, I will go ahead and read through it now.

It is not so much that torrent is illegal, but that both uploading and downloading is illegal (or so i've read on numerous places) unlike most western countries where uploading is illegal but downloading is okay. I could be wrong though, but from most "legitimate" sources, that's the impression I've gotten.

Anyhow, I'll start looking through those sites. My Japanese is far from perfect, but I can communicate pretty well, so maybe I'll be okay, dunno tho.

Anyone else know of anything else? Just subtitles sites might work too if they have it for japanese movies/drama/anime, dunno much about it tho.

AnimeBytes? Their torrents are usually subbed or Dual Audio.

If you want anime recommendations, let me know what you're after ;)

Are they subbed with both Japanese and English? I don't think I've ever really seen that before. I usually just find dual audio, but that's not really what I am after. Anyhow, sounds sweet, I'll go ahead and look into it. Thanks

I'll check out HDstar. Although I don't think they have much Japanese subs there, but hopefully I'm wrong. Thanks for the tip.

Dual Audio means you can switch between sub and dub with your media player's settings.

Oh, I think you might have misunderstood me (either that or I am misunderstanding you know), The thing is that I want Japanese audio with Japanese Subs. Not Japanese Audio with English subs. So my question then is, do they have subs for both english and japanese.

So yeah, do you know if they have that? The Dual Audio that I have downloaded so far always have English or Japanese Audio, but only English subs (not japanese).

And yeah I am a member at Asiatorrents and it's great for Japanese material, but they only have a handful of movies with Japanese Subs. Maybe they'll expand it in the future, but I doubt it.
