It sounded to me like he was just joking around, I wouldn't take it too seriously. Let's not get Offtopic please and make it worse.

If you already got btn then you don't need bitmetv anymore.

Which contains a very, very high speed in the browser and drag the files and also to block cheaters constantly...

1º its was a joke not an offense to anyone specific,

2º this thread was not made, to talk about rar files.

3º it was made to talk about good alternatives, to the morbid bitmtv.

4 rar files, are specially usefull for big files, like xbox games for example, in case one file is corrupted its just a matter off reuploading one file not the entire torrent all over again. , or for those who like to do, cross seding. usually scene torrents.

anyway, rar files are a pain in the ass :p

Im also one of them who says why not rar?

Accsoualy its much better if the file is packed into rar files, why?

When they use rar, you will get better speeds. Maybe not on your home nettwork, but if you are connected to a large, local nettwork. (like the gathering, with 5500 computers) you will see the diffrence from a rar to not a rar. You will get better speeds.

Also when you download rar, many anti-virus programs dont scan it and find cracks etc... So when you extract the file, you can extract it to a safe folder and dont lose cracks.

I hate when i download things and my bit-defender autodelete cracks, wich is not virus!

All that reasons make rared files acceptable but not better. For me same speed rare files or not. And actually slower to extract and play rared files specially big ones. the right question is Why rared files >>> because scene releases are always rared so it's original way so it's better for scene trackers.

were should i go off to know? to get all the tvshows out there, whit good pre-times, and most importantly uncompressed!!!

I really hate rar , zip and everything in between , so sceneacess and ftn are out of the question...
This make everyone talk about rars. Good alternatives mentioned in one post earlier and there are no others ;-).

It is more effective to seed 100 files to 100 people, insted of seeding 1 file to 100 people.

Im a speed whore, and when im sitting on large lans im uploading with 100 mb/s, and then it matters if i upload 300 movies, or 300 000 parted-movie-files...

But end of discuss. Its not what this threat is for.
