Default Which encoder TEAMs do you chose to collect and store their release in HDD ?

For me, i only find and collect films encoded by HDbits internal group such as EsiR CtrlHD or Ebp release and keep them in my external HDD because their product is quite well and i don't worry about the quality, it's encoded by best technical i think. And how about you ?

there are other groups out there that do awesome encodes ,chd ,FrAmEsToRe FLAWL3SS ,so really what it is is personal preference as the encoding methods are the same
you should have a look at other encoders that do the smaller encodes from 400mb to 2 gig and see what they are like ,you will be suprised about the ammount of quaiity groups that are releasing now
And there are the different forms of encoding ,xvids compared to the x264 method,i wont add anymore as i could waffle on with more comparisons

I don't really prefer any encoding team over another, I just check the size and resolution and if there are screens available I take a look at them. The smaller the file, the better, yet I want the best quality, so if there are two 1080p and the other one is smaller of course I choose it. In the end the only way to really compare material is to download the same video from two different encoder teams, but I don't have the bandwidth and time and disk space to make such comparisons, and I don't expect to notice much difference anyway. A friend of mine told me that you wouldn't see the difference between 720p and 1080p video on a 40" TV but on a 50" you could. When it comes to TV episodes, and especially season packs, I always settle with xvid and the lowest file size no matter what the quality is, I've never really seen so horrible material that I would have had to complain about, except some TV-rips from very old video recorders. But I couldn't watch those episodes from a big screen, that's really what matters, the bigger the screen, the better the quality must be.

My loyalties used to lie with Flawl3ss, but I've gotten so many new trackers with good internal encoders teams that I'll have to re-evaluate. I guess it depends on which tracker I want to seed most :P

if its h264 then its h264. the difference is not in the encoding method so much as the bitrate. at least for hd movies. when it comes to compressed dvd5 rips its all about cinemacraft encoder. if it was encoded in cce with 5 to 8 passes then the quality will be superb. if you want xvid rips then anything below 1500 mb will be low quality with lots of artifacts. these artifacts can be seen real easy in black scenes or dark of night scenes, underwater scenes. when i began dealing with digital movie files i downloaded any piece of garbage as most do.example axxo, flawless, fxg ect. and then i got into hd content and went for esir rips and ctrlhd and a few others that seemed good at the time. however in the last year my opinion was drastically altered and i made a decision to step away from encoded material and build an untouched collection. i only grab an xvid copy of a new film now as a preview to decide if it is worthy of archiving. if the movie qualifies for my collection then i seek out either a dvd9 or a full bluray in the case that it is a fantastic movie. slowly but surely my collection is being converted. is it worth it you say. depends on how much of a cinema fan you are and your method of playback. i consider myself on the extreme side of movie fanatic therefore i bought an hdi dune media player to handle full bluray and dvd menus+ 4 TB of internal storage and an extra 6 TB of external storage can be hooked up all at once. plenty space for a massive untouched quality archive of movies to die for.

to me it was an evolution in film collecting and a lot of other fanatics end up going down this road. so i say encoder smencoder its all the same compressed junk. sooner or later you will either grow out of it or have a huge collection of low quality files that are barely watchable on a 50" hdtv. every time i dump another xvid copy in the bin i smile and thank god for untouched release trackers such as bithq. just my 2 cents! but there is nothing quite comparable to flipping on my dune player and choosing a movie and being able to see the menu and special features as well as i know its as good as the movie i used to have in a box on the shelf.

Yes i'm looking for other good encoders, too.
But i tried some release and they have some mistake, such as you can see the image below, its encoded under 1080p resolution with small size (~4GB) but it has some broken points in this ss if you see it carefully

I prefer CtrlHD, but sometimes just choose the one with higher bit rate.

Higher bitrate does not means better quality, it just means that the encoder failed to make a good rip with a smaller size. This is the last thing someone changes in order to have a better image.
