Default Is HDBits.org still considered the best HD tracker?

HDBits.org is generally regarded as one of the only "very hard to get into" trackers that lives up to the hype. But with so many quality HD trackers materializing, HDBits.org is no longer leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. My question is: Is HDBits.org still the undisputed best HD tracker around?

I don't have an account there but I know that they are way still better than CHD.

I don't have an account there, but I would still like to comment on how hard this question is to answer. Best is quite subjective. Best can involve ease of seeding (i.e. can you keep your ratio without a seedbox), best involves retention (does it have good HD retention like PTP and SceneHD?), best can involve the quality of the internal release groups (here HDBits.org is probably where it shines the most, from what I hear). It is worth noting that a lot of their internal encodes find their way to other trackers as well.

Doesn't the lack of new members cause things like problems with number of seeders and retention of old torrents?

I don't have an account either, but my answer would be for ESiR, CtrlHD, and the other 100 encoders that seem to truly appreciate digital encoding/transcoding who really take pride in their work. I have plenty of sources to snatch their releases but this is a tracker I can actually call a 'dream' tracker. That's just me, tho. I absolutely do not need it but would love an invite know what I'm sayin?

because I do have access to some of these releases from ESiR, DON, CRiSC, CtrlHD, EbP thru another private tracker.

People, (without an account), say it is the best because of the internal encoding groups, but as you can get their encodes elsewhere, then why the desperation to be a member.

I do not have an account there, but my understanding, (which may be of course be incorrect), is that it is as much an encoding community, as it is a tracker, and the value of being a member is therefore greatly diminished if you are not an encoding enthusiast.

I would be interested to hear from people that actually have accounts there, talking about the site, and not just in terms of the internal encoder groups, but discussing some of the points raised by Canadian for example.
