Thread: Is HDBits.org still considered the best HD tracker?

As a member of a few top trackers, I can say that HDBits is just as good a TL when it comes to pre-times. Im sure the quality of HDBits' encodes are a bit better but I dont really care. My eyes cant tell the difference between a ctrlhd release and a TL group release. The file sizes are all irrelevant. I find my self on TL more than HDB looking for the newest stuff. The bigger userbase of TL allows for better seeding opportunities. Once you get behind at HDB, you can never get back unless you have a TON of space for files and you are an uploader. I also like the RSS feeds of BTN and TL. HDB doesnt have those so you either need to be an IRC coder and idler in their channels to pick up the new torrents, or hang out at 9:15pm and 10:15pm during the weekdays and jump on the TV shows fast.

Ppl know my stance on FTN during my last invite giveaway for them. meh.

Im also using USEnet now and its pretty sweet. Sick fast pre times and it maxes out my bandwidth so im happy.

Blah - tired of posting to threads that have newbs saying they dream about trackers. If they dream about them, they dont have them which means they couldnt possibly give you any kind of answer that you are looking for. You should have ppl post a profile link to the tracker in question so you can value their word a bit higher than others.

HDBits.org had always been my dream tracker for years and luckily enough about 5 months ago I was able to get an invite and the website lived every inch up to my expectations. The pretimes and speed are excellent, community and variety are superb. I was able to find an unknown 2002 German movie for my german class in 1080p having 14 seeders. With around 50,000 torrents (all in HD), you can find pretty much everything in all forms (720p, 1080p or BR).
Also, in community-terms, everyone is helpful and nice and the forums are used by almost everyone.
With all of this in mind, this is one of the trackers I check everyday and surely the one I love the most.
