Thread: Will we get in trouble?

I was just wondering if the private trackers have a problem with giving our invites away here?If not will they ban us if they catch us?

I know that trading invites is bad, but I'm not sure about giving them away.

Hi jokey024 -- not really afraid, just kidding, but also don't want to draw unnecessary attention to myself! Personally, I think if you get to know someone here through their posts and ratio proofs etc and then want to offer them an invite, can't see anything wrong with that. None of my IRL friends use bittorrent so who am I going to give them to? But in answer to your original question , I can't say that I've seen anywhere that "giving away" invites is frowned upon -- only trading or selling I think. At least at the sites I'm a member of.

Some of the trackers specifically state in their rules that giving invites out on any forum is considered trading and you could both lose your accounts. I would just check the rules at the trackers site that you are thinking about giving away first. Better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps.

I guess that is the million dollar question!
My guess is that its fairly safe as long as you can trust the person your giving the invite to.
